God these all look so good. I can't wait to dive into these, i'm already messing around with Cell Games a bit. I'll see if I can try and rip the lava though, but iirc it's all with the rock layers so we'd have to remove most of it ourselves.
Neocide said, November 09, 2014, 11:48:02 pmokay, final version, think I really outdid myself on this. love it - BUT the pillars should have different sizes (bigger in the front) and a different position according to the perspective of the whole stage.
Neocide said, November 13, 2014, 06:55:13 amDaytime:Midday The edges on the floor seems a bit hard on those, but stages look great!
All these stages look crisp and awesome. Loving the vibrant colors and small details a little everywhere !Great job guys !
Since everyone has their own theme basically I'm gonna try to pair each fighter up with a stage This is what I'm thinking;- Islands - Vegeta- Cell games - Cell - Road - 18- Earth Plains - Final Gohan- Earth Plains (Mid) - Yamcha- Earth Plains (Night) - Piccolo- Namek Coastline - ?????- Namek - Ginyu- Dead Namek - Frieza - First fight - Goku- Room of space and time - Training Stage- ?????? - ????- Kami's Look out - Super Buu- Islands (Night) - ?????- Islands (Storm) - Vegitto- Snow - Bonus- Forest - SSJ2 Gohan- Mountain Top - Tien- Roshi's House - Kuririn - Destroyed City - Trunksthat sets me at 20 stages.... Yay. GLB is going to die lmao
yea I know, and you haven't even seen the forest stage yet :V what would you suggest? (it's a throwback to his sb2\shinb stage)
I'd suggest Destroyed Cell Games, but I guess you don't want to make that stage twice, also can I see a pic of the sb2/shinb stage?
Destroyed cell games would look too much like the plains. Spoiler, click to toggle visibiltysomething in between these two

So with Neocide's permission, I can post here what I'll be working on (which is unfortunately going to be one stage, because reasons. Sorry Neo.)Since he wanted Dying Namek, I decided to get a little creative with resource utilisation, and this is what I have so far (took the lazy route):and I managed to take these effects (thanks to Zweifuss for ripping the SF3 stages and separating them):So my plans include adding a backdrop inspired by Battle of Z:I'm hoping to utilise some resources in order to make a backdrop similar to this, but in the case of insufficient resources, I'll be drawing them from scratch. The clouds will be made from scratch in a manner similar to that of the New Generation boss stage, and I plan to add destroyed Namekian houses swimming in the lava as well.I also had the idea to add hi res thunderbolts and what not, and that holy aura looking thing from the aforementioned New Generation stage, all in hi res.Feel free to give feedback, or suggest resources and ideas, since DBZ is something I have a feint familiarity with.@Neocide: How's the size? Is it good?
Neocide said, September 17, 2015, 09:29:28 pmLooks good i might be able to work on the houses later tooSounds good, your the boss man.
I decided screw the SF3 lava, I ended up ripping better from Children of the Atom:There are animated parts for the 2nd one, I'll rip'em tomorrow and update it.And here's another mock-up I made:Spoiler, click to toggle visibiltyDecided that the clouds and mountains will be made from scratch using reference sprites from the Vs. series and SF3: New Generation, and a few screen caps from the Frieza v. Goku battle. Will fix up the lava brightness/contrast tomorrow, by that time I'll have at least finished the bare bones for the mountains sky, I'll be simplifying them to the max.Ignore the rough edges on the rocks, I'll fix that as well.EDIT:Managed to rip 2 anims from the Musashi lava stage (Last Blade IIRC):Surprisingly, this was easy to clean and separate from the stage floor (I used an animated GIF I found online), took way shorter than I originally expected.I still have to apply the CoTA lava scheme to it, so expect that tomorrow, and maybe an animated mock-up.
Great man, I'm glad you like it! I plan on ripping a few more elements from the Savage Land stage in CoTA, so expect some stuff tomorrow.
