Hi Everyone!!
I started to "resize" some NZC sprites, and I began with Pein.
I only finished the Stand animation

First of all: These are all really good. The lineart in particular is pretty awesome. :)

Constructive comments:
================
Lightsource issues: In some of sprites, there's no clear lightsource... different areas in the same sprite are shaded as if the light was coming from different directions. Example: Pain's robes, Aerith's skirt.

Contrast: Use more contrasting colors to make details more noticeable. Example: The NGPC sprites, mostly.

Those unknown sprites look better, you did a great job on fixing up chuchoryu's-uhhh-sprite art. But if I can give feedback, the crouching animation for Unknown looks choppy. Take a look at other CvS characters and how they crouch if you want to get a better idea on how it works.

The second animation is perfect, I don't see anything wrong with it. :)

Keep up the hard work man. :)

Pretty decent looking sprites, although the first animation could use some more frames for the transition of the crouching. It looks too stiff right now.

As for the second sprite, it looks pretty decent and well animated, but I'm not sure what style you tried to go for in there.

A new version of the secound unknow sprites (not animated yet)

Good sprite, although the line between her breasts seems to have too much shading, causing it to look blurry, so you might want to tone it down.

The sprite itself looks very nice, but you need to work on the shading, given that it has banding everywhere.

There are still a few issues regarding lightsource (KOF vs CVS), but overall they're pretty good. My main concerns are:

Phoenix:
  • Her hair is pillow shaded and it's not like any other CVS character out there (usually there's one color for light, one for shadow, and one for highlights). Her face is also not properly defined.
  • The glossy effect on the cosume is a decent attempt, but doesn't look CVS-ish at all. It's way too loud (kinda reminds me of the "Captain America and the Avengers" arcade game or "Justice League Task Force" on the Genesis). What's your base? I would recommend using bison's armor as a reference for metallic/glossy look or just forego the glossy look altogether

Geese:
  • The muscles look wrong. Try to base it on the actual CVS Geese Howard, then reference Joe for how muscles and shading would look on a shirtless character. Always use a base.
