The Toxic Avenger said, April 14, 2009, 02:00:13 amI just thought of something: if the moon is behind them, wouldn't the shadows be reversed? I mean, moonlight is just reflected sunlight, but it would make sense. You might be right, but I want to stick to the original version:
There might be some lanterns off screen shining some light on them. Just make sure their shadows don't show up in the sky behind them when they jump.
I've got so many versions of this/these characters:I was wondering, are both the Goeniko and Wind characters made by the same person?
Erm, it's not like there's a Goeniko by Rolento available to common folk like me. Also half the Goeniko creators probably don't know what Rolento was up to. *gets .\/.'d*
Once they aren't on the wooden floor anymore, the shadows seem to be floating. I'd modify the parameters of the shadows to make them be only on the ground if I were you (as in the screenshot you posted on this page). You used formulas to calculate the parallax right ?

I was messing around 'till it was looking right.
This : http://www.geocities.com/vibhp/mugen/tuto/parallax.htmlIf you don't use formulas, and do it by "eye" (as you did), the result can be correct, but will never be perfect. Well, if you have a good eye, it can be okay nevertheless. What you must pay attention to is make sure the chars don't "slide" on the ground when one of them is walking and the other one is static. Check if the static char has his feet always standing on the same place (use the dark lines of the wood for that).

Mind helping me a bit? pm me your ICQ or MSN if you can.
Quote<[Rolento]> http://mugenguild.com/forumx/index.php?topic=96670.msg868810#msg868810 <-- While the whole Midnight Bliss Goenitz thing wasn't my idea, it seems people forgot that the first full public version of the character named "Wind" started as a stolen version of Goenitz2. <KOD> Want me to quote you?<[Rolento]> zy5678 used the available alpha I put online as his base.<[Rolento]> A terrible thing, since those original sprites were goddamn ugly. <[Rolento]> So yes, they did know what I was doing. (Yes, quote me.)
