I love Cell using his arena forming technique as a form of attack. I mean, sure, it works, it's just so silly and unexpected. The close-up animations don't feel as smooth and fluid as they could be, but I suspect it's a work in progress and not absolutely final, and if they are, it's still fine enough. The aura though, it's been done before and stylistically it looks fine but I'm not that big a fan of the aura wrapping their bodies being literal flames.I'm more a fan of this style, with the semi-transparency around them.
So there's gonna be a closed beta this Summer apparentlyhttp://www.saiyanisland.com/2017/06/dragon-ball-fighterz-closed-beta-this-summer-on-ps4xbox-one/Spoiler, click to toggle visibiltyQuoteFor Dragon Ball video game fans, today has been an exciting day with the first gameplay trailer of Dragon Ball FighterZ. The debut came from Los Angeles, CA (USA) at Microsoft’s E3 2017 presentation. While the debut came from Microsoft, the game isn’t limited to just Microsoft Xbox One. Players will also be able to enjoy the latest installment to feature the powr of Goku and company on PlayStation 4 (PS4) and PC/Steam as well. That’s not all, however! To add to that excitement of the first gameplay trailer, Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced Dragon Ball FighterZ will get a closed beta this summer on PS4 and Xbox One. No details have been announced in regards to what the beta will have or when exactly it will occur. As of this writing, we only know there will be one sometime this summer. You can bet Saiyan Island hopes to have additional details as soon as they are announced!Dragon Ball FighterZ is a 3-vs-3 team battle fighting game in development by Arc System Works, the same developer as the acclaimed Guilty Gear fighting game franchise. Dragon Ball FighterZ delivers an explosive, action-packed game that combines classic 2D fighting with advanced 3D character models that look and feel as if they are straight out of the Dragon Ball series. It will will incorporate ultra high-speed battles and various flashy moves, including Goku’s iconic Kamehameha. Confirmed playable characters thus far include Goku (normal, Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan 3, Frieza (Final Form, Golden) Super Saiyan 2 Gohan, Vegeta (normal and Super Saiyan), Perfect Cell, and Majin Buu. Dragon Ball FighterZ will be published by Bandai Namco Entertainment in early 2018.I'm not a fan of the choice of name honestly, it sounds really goofy, but hot damn does the gameplay look promising! DBZ with a mix of Guilty Gear and MvC? Sign me the hell up!

Wow I got a boner and chills over my body after seeing this trailer with Gameplay. I might have to buy my first Video Game in over a Decade for PC if I have to.
Hope they dont fuck it up, It better have decent gameplay unlike extreme butoden. Instant pre order for me if its the case.
rgveda99 said, June 12, 2017, 01:52:41 amIs there a reason why Nintendo is excluded here?inferior hardware
I mean, they could PROBABLY make a Switch version just like there's a PS3 version of the Xrd games. But you also have to make sure your button layout matches the two Joycon or whatever
I look forward to how deep the roster is, will it have Super guys or fighters from the arcs were watching right now. Transformations as well, wanna know how deep they will get with that. I can see maybe 30 characters as a base, and maybe special content like added characters on PSN Store and Xbox Stores for us to empty our Wallets .
The base characters + the movies + Black GokuNobody's gonna touch the tournament characters for another year at least

Extreme Butoden had great graphics, but gameplay's a shit sadly. But coming from Arc System Works, i expect a great Dragon Ball game. I'll catch this one for my PC for sure. Also hope that they'll show people from DB Super in future trailers cause well, Golden Frieza is there.

Speedpreacher said, June 12, 2017, 03:16:18 amNobody's gonna touch the tournament characters for another year at leastI dunno, Xenoverse 2 is reaching into the end of the Zamasu arc for DLC now, with Merged Zamasu and Vegito Blue. I don't think it impossible they would consider the big and popular characters of the current arc at least as DLC. It is probably too early to consider them for the base game if they want to have dubs. Though this current trailer was using the Japanese voice actors, so who knows. Also on Xenoverse 2, wasn't the show still in the middle of the Goku Black story when they announced getting him by pre-ordering the game?.

Guilty Gear doesn't have an alternate full consistent frame rate property out right now that's still being supported. Xenoverse means DBZ can't get away with it as much.

The aura though, it's been done before and stylistically it looks fine but I'm not that big a fan of the aura wrapping their bodies being literal flames.that's all intentional because the same team that's making this game are the ones who did Guilty Gear XRD. The animations lacking frames is due to the game trying to emulate the look of feel of traditional stylistic anime. It's not out of laziness either, there's a whole video about it but each and every model has its own individual lightsource instead of a dynamic one to keep the models from looking weird when the shading changes, the reason why its 3D also is to allow for more dynamic and stylized action angles that the limitations of 2D doesn't allow. It looks fucking amazing and I'm so glad it's being applied to DBZ
