Yarr, i tried getting all kinds of genre`s or "sub" genre`s together which can be classified under fighting games and beat em ups/brawlers.

Maybe someone of you can help me with that or can give me some feedback on the list i made so far i got together:

Main Genre:
Fighting Games

Sub Genres
2D Fighting Games
3D Fighting Games 
Anime Fighting Games
Weapon based 2D Fighting Games
Weapon based 3D Fighting Games
Crossover Fighting Game
Barehanded+Weapon Fighting Games
   

Main Genre:
Beat èm ups

Sub Genres:
2D Beat èm up
3D Beat èm up
Brawler


Should i classify wrestling , mma, boxing games  under fighting too?
