I'm looking for some good 2D fighters for the PS2, besides CVS2, also, which is the best Guilty Gear?
Accent Core Plus is the final version of XX IIRCGet SFA Anthology, Street Fighter Anniversary Collection, and any/all KOF games. If you can play Japanese games you simply HAVE to get Vampire Collection. It's my favorite game of all time and forever ever! Also if you can play imports you'll want Last Blade and Garou Mark of the WolfEDIT: And Melty Blood
Street Fighter Alpha Anthology/Zero Fighters GenerationCapcom VS SNK 2Marvel VS Capcom 2Street Fighter Anniversary Edition[JAPANESE! Because they come with SF2 Movie uncensored/complete]Samurai Spirits/Shodown AnthologyTekken 5Tekken Tag TournamentGuilty GearVampire "Darkstalkers" Collection [Japanese exclusive but very good and very easy to understand]EDIT: Didn't mentioned the PSX games, because I don't remember if PS2 can play PS1 games. But if yes:Marvel VS Capcom: Clash of Super HeroesMarvel Super Heroes VS Street FighterStreet Fighter Zero 3 PSX VERSION [ World Tour <3 ]Rival SchoolsKOF 97/98
You could try Rumble Fish (too bad Arcsys never bothered to port its sequel) and Spectral VS Generation (this one had great potential but sadly no more sequels). Also Melty Blood Actress Again. But if you want 4 player madness you can try its prequel Melty Blood Act Cadenza.Another good multiplayer fighting game is Battle Stadium D.O.N.
KOF 2002 UMOnly Issue is that It's Japan only, but it's a fighting game and all the menus are in English. (for some reason)Also Power Instinct: Matrimelee.Another Japan only game though.
Accent Core + is the one that has everyone present so probably that. Reload is just as good but it doesn't have ABA and Order-Sol.Others I'd recommend.Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution: Great game. Simple, well-designed, and fun; more people should play this.Tekken Tag 1: Tekken dream match, 'nuff said. Has bowling too.SamSho Anthology: Has localized Tenka to go with earlier games. Must have for any fan of SamSho.KoF XI: Quite s departure from the Neo-Geo titles but really interesting game. So many fun characters to play with.KoF MI2/2006: Enjoyable game to mess around with.SoulCalibur 2: Fast, intense, and enjoyable. Considered to be SC's prime.Bloody Roar 3: Fun game. Sorely underrated one too.
Most of everything has been listed. Most of which will be Capcom or Snk franchises No one mentions SVC chaos though? Pretty decent game I thought. Some you should check out. Arks games so you should know what to expect. -Sengoku BASARA X-Hokuto No KenIf you have access to emus, Some underrated 2d fighting games(mostly arcade)-Rage of the dragons-Last Blade 1,2-RumbleFish 1,2-Breakers Revenge-Asura Buster -Galaxy Fight-Ninja Masters(Gemmmm)-Cyberbots-Waku Waku 73D/2D-Fate Unlimited Codes-KOF - Maximum Impact Regulation A (Japan)3D-Fighting Layer(Hidden Gem)-Kinnikuman Grand Prix Max 2( Wrestling/fighting game hybrid) -Tobal.2(Hella underrated)-Bloody Roar "3" or "2"-Kenichi Mightest Disciple-Garouden Break Blow fist or Twist(This is very similar to Buriki One)
Guilty Gear, either XX #Reload or XX Accent Core (Plus), though both have been succeeded by Accent Core+R. At least those are the ones I see getting most play.
Vast majority listed so here are some leftovers.Dragonball Z Budokai/Ultimate Tenkachi 3Naruto Ultimate Ninja 4Def Jam Fight for NY

Maybe because it's a pretentious 2d fighting game something that GGXrd fixed. Overall its still a good playable fighting game. My other complaint would be the boss having SNK Boss Syndrome.
yep, complete with a stupid way to defeat him ; jump over him so he fucks up and attacks the side you are not on, especially effective once he charges up because his attacks last longer.
Soul Calibur 3 was imo the best one to date. tekken 5? I think 5 was on ps2 I enjoyed that one. I know you asked for ps2 but I would reccomend Tatsunoko vs capcom. message me on skype and I can explain this one to you.ultimate ninja 5. thats all I have I will let you know if I think of any others.
