Going to practice mode on the KOF 2002 rom

Hi.

I want to go to practice mode for kof 2002, but I don't how on the rom. How to do so on GGPO? Hope I'm not breaking any rules.

If you're talking about the Arcade version, there is no practice mode aside from going into VS. mode without a second player.

Ah. No wonder when I looked it up there wasn't any results. There was a mode that I saw for the arcade version that only allowed you to play as one character and there was infinite time. Is that real, or was I just seeing things?

I dunno. I haven't looked around any of the modes in it TBH. Just done a few botched arcade runs before being shot down by Rugal.

You have to set the neogeo emulator to console mode. The home version of NeoGeo KOF2002 has a training mode.

If you are using ggpo, like you said.

Open the file ggpofba.exe file and open your rom.

When the game is running, press Ctrl + F5 and change "MVS system" to "AES system"
Then press F3 to reset the game.
You should see the Neogeo logo in the beginning, now you can access Practice mode and other features.



Note: If your game crashes after resetting that's because you have an incomplete bios file (Neogeo.zip)
To fix it, Replace your neogeo.zip file with this one:

This one supports console mode, and don't worry, it works fine online, just make sure to set your rom back to MVS System if you want to play online or else your matches will desync (Unless your opponent also has AES mode on)
