Figured it was time for a new post, here are the rest of his jumping attacks. My goal is to be done by Friday:

Hehe *Drumroll* And now the moment you've all been waiting for, Joe's sprites are complete! All that's left is to fix the elbow on the stance. I want to start on Retsu next, but I need to take a break. Joe took a lot longer than I thought, but of all of the SF1 guys, I think he will be the most difficult, so good to have him out of the way. Going to post the finished product in Resource Releases.

Don't mean to Necro bump, and was going to try and finish his damage and jumping animations before I did this, but I just figured it was time for an update. Here's some progress on Retsu.

Top to Bottom:
- Stance, crouching and blocking animations
- Forward and backwards walking
- Light medium and heavy punches. Heavy took fuggin forever, but happy with the way it turned out

This is actually pretty awesome! Retsu is my favourite SF1 character.

But, I can't help notice/feel that his head shrinks in the walking sprites.

I'm both a fan of your Joe and Geki in Alpha ish sprite but there is something different with Retsu in the standing stance on the upper body it seems to small and misaligned or there is something unlikely with the posture that it seems to morph into something wider in different position or the upper body should have been different and wider.

Hmm ok, thanks for the feedback. Tried to fix the walking heads and made the upper body on the stance wider. Also, did some touch ups and added some damage sprites and made an attempt at redoing his death sprite from SF1:

Don't mean to keep posting these same sprites, but touched them up one last time. I took the white trim off of the collar, just thought it looked awkward. This might be my last update for a while, but will continue to chip away at him:

That's quite a spine here...

The same goes to Walk Forward sprites. Some sprites look just wonky (Jab...), but some sprites are surprisingly nice (Damage).
So, yeah. Keep it up in time you'll become better at this.
