So, I've been working on her lately and thought would be cool to show how it is going so far.
This is my first ever character (I even thought that I picked a difficult character to make as my first one, but I like her, here I am now...), I have made some edits before but only lately I decided to learn how to make a character "from scratch", reading lots of tutorials and all. I think I'm going pretty good for a first character.
Some notes: I'm using Memo's POTS style template,
and inserting (and even editing) sprites myself. I'm also taking some (very few, like until now it was 4 or 5) sprites from Warusaki's R. Mika, like her air guard sprites that are not present in SFA3.UPDATE: I changed all the sprites to the ones color separated by QuickFist. I just need to make my edited sprites compatible with the CS now.
Besides Memo's template, I'm coding it all myself. Whenever I get lost with coding, I take a look at how Warusaki made her R. Mika and try to do something similar, since I don't like to copy + paste.
What I have done already:
- basic moves (3 punches / 3 kicks / stand / crouch / air )
- basic throws, alternate throw with mashing buttons, air throws
- all of the Special Moves and some EX versions of them
- 2 LV1 Supers (Rainbow Hip Rush and Heavenly Dynamite) and their LV2 MAX version
- 1 Intro and 1 Winpose
- Everything that is already in the template, like parry, custom combo, rolling/dodge, etc.
What is missing:
- A LV3 Super. I wanted to make her super from SFV but I'd need Nadeshiko sprites and I don't know if this move would fit in 2D. If I can't do that, I want something original (accepting ideas).
- Sardine's Beach
- A.I.
- Small edits like adding more intros and winposes, palettes, etc.
