I like the Saiyan fanservice, Goku playing mentor to new fan favorite Caulifla and the continued use of Kale just taking over for Broly. I feel there's something wrong with the way Kale is dealt with by Jiren, at least two things. One, it would have been a more satisfactory ending to keep the parallels to Broly in that Goku stopped Kale with his teammate's help. (Which was what we were supposed to be getting back to, Universe 7) But two, though they have room to explain it in a future episode, how did Jiren stop Kale with what appears to be a simple ki blast?
Replicating Broly's imperviousness to all physical attacks is among the things Kale's shown off, especially in this episode shrugging off a Blue level Kamehamaha as absolutely nothing to mirror the first Broly movie. So I find it highly doubtful Jiren simply "overpowered" Kale's Berserker form with that attack to knock her out of it, especially as it wasn't anything concussive or to the head, it was just a large ki ball that lifted her up. Perhaps we'll actually get some background on this Grey they've been hyping up, maybe he's got some magic powers. Would help in his case of being able to beat Gods.
