Eh. I don't buy Zero > Super Sonic/Tails/Knuckles. But not particularly surprised, it is a protagonist versus an antagonist, Metal was bound to have more faults. It still seems stupidly simple. Metal looks at Zero, copies his power. Zero turns into something stronger, Metal looks at Zero, copies his stronger form. Rinse and repeat until Zero's dead. Pretty straight-forward. Ah well.

LOL, whose idea was it to play the sex jazz when they introduced the furries?
VIDEO It's in theme for Lucario. Though your implication probably isn't also wrong.
So...which Lucario and Renamon? Presumably the Lucario from the movie and Renamon from the show? I forget the names of both partners they're with, been a while, but for both cases they're at disadvantages to what their full potential could be, so it is rather interesting to figure what they will consider canon and available or not.
The Lucario species has gotten an Mega Evolution since the time of the Pokémon movie, but while the two meet most of the requirements for Mega Evolution, they don't got the ring. As for Renamon, delving into the games Digimon can acquire moves quite outside their typical evolutionary line. Renamon could know quite a number of fire attacks that would be deadly to Lucario. But that's just not an avenue that the show followed, to my knowledge anyways.
Both of them I'm rusty as hell on their specifics but if they go by their most represented version, they're both going to be nerfed. Likewise if they're both wild and without a partner, actually, now that I think of it. Though in that case it's a significantly larger nerf to Renamon than Lucario, due to cutting it off from any forms beyond Rookie. A Lucario's pretty tough even without its Mega form, but Renamon is stuck it its early third form.
Though not exactly perfect parallels, it's similar to comparing Augmon to Charizard.
