Hi, this was an old idea that i have on mindActually have the dan sheet with the color separation and most of the sprites have that thing above the head (I don't know the english translation )I have a mr karate sheet with the Mask, but I haven't added yet I just wanna post here to see your opinions and suggestions, cause I don't know programming charcters, maybe I'll share the sheet for someone to code it.I'll try to complete the missing edits on the sheet to go to the next edition that is adding the mask.
Well, first off, what are all the available canon sources about Gou Hibiki? Like Pocket Fighter moves or mentions by other characters :OI know there's a Mugen Version with lots of ideas, but I really have no idea where they got all of that from! Not to mention, he got Sagat's eye, but in the Artwork he seems to practice Muay Thai
Well, all the references from Go Hibiki comes from the same games, and it's basically the ideal vision Dan has of his father, that's why Go in almost images appeared with karate gi instead Muay Thai outfit. Also, the guy on Sagat's feet in SFII artwork is Go Hibiki according to official sources (as well here in SFA, where he really wears MT outfit)
Yep, that was made intentionally to mock AoF.That's not Dan, that's where the idea of Dan came from, tho.
Go Hibiki should have Hien Shinpuu Kyaku + of course a Ranbuu. Pretty much everything they gave him in SSF4 (HAOH GADOKEN)
A good base could be Udon's Go Hibiki, see the moves he has in Street Fighter Legends: Dan Hibiki, where Go appears
Interesting.QuoteIn the comics, Go appears completely normal, without the long nose or red skin, looking like an elderly and more competent version of Dan. He seems to have something like Ryo's Tenchi Haou Ken, and an UBER kick.
It wouldn't hurt to try to sprite both versions. In other words, try to make one sprite of the human elderly Go Hibiki first. If you don't like it, then maybe try for the Tengu Demon version. I tried to do a sprite of him in SvC style using Dan's sprite as the base, but the pose just came out very awkward. :-/
Well i try to finish first the Tengu parody. I've rotated the aura over the head for the gethits and some movements. There are some frames:See ya
Finished the sheet with the auraOnly missing the tengu mask About the sprites for the original Go, I'll try with 3 Ryos, 96, 2002 and the NGBC It have some things from one and some things from other they have a lot of differences, and the idea is to make the nearest concept Thanx 4 the feedback
Well, now I've finished separating the mask from Shin Mr Karate The next step is add to the Actual Dan Sheet, I'll thinking to do a red separation on dans face to reduce the work a lot It would be something like thisLeft is dan sprites with the mask over, right is red face with mask overWhat do you think guys?
Well, no one said nothing about the mask, then i've finished the face color separation to add the tengu mask:Is a placeholder while I use the original mask colors to fit in and make it complete.
I don't know, but what I know is that Jmorphman's Ken is a good base for CSing a shoto-kan/karateka/whatever.
Oh I was thinking on a more detailed separation, when I've finished adding the mask I'll make more color separation is a bit slow cause I only have a pair of hours in the weekend to work on this.
At this moment the aura only has two colors but i don't have any plans to shade it more, it would change with the progress, the answer is no for the moment. In other news:The foots and the Gi (or whatever is the name of the belt ) are full CS-ed.
Feet are kind of unnecessary but if you separated the hair and gloves, that would be awesome and I´ll love it.
Was the easiest separation at this moment I have planned to make separation to the eye, the gloves, the hands, the arms and the hair, so I'm taking my time and alternating the separation with the mask edition, but in overall I'm advancing at good speed this weekend I'll do more job. Stay tuned
The walking looks good man! As far as moves for Go, maybe implementing some Muay Thai would be wise since he is after all a Muay Thai master.
The sprite editing come after the CS. Today I Have started the arms separationIs a long way to make a good CS
The nose is in progress is the last phase of the edition Thnx for the tips, it would be useful when the real sprite edition begins
I've finished the first separation! There is an example of what it looks like palleted In these days I'll be posting the first pallete to see what things i have to correct in the actual separation and to see ideas from the users.
I could try to do that but first I've to correct the actual separation, I'm creating the SFF to start the massive fixes
Well, this is the first BETA palleteThis would be useful to identify some unwanted pixels and mistakes taken in the CS process. Do not worry about the other colors, the pallete in the right is only a reference to the actual sheet pallete and have more things that aren't used actually. This doesn't include the powers due the pallete debug. Thanx for reading! and for contributing some paletes
