My favorite manga drawings style is Akira Toriyama.

this is what his style of luffy from once piece looks like.
(even though some people say One piece already looks like Dragon ball)

whats yours?

* Hirohiko Araki documented throughout the years ever since he became a vampire.

Hirohiko Araki, famous for authoring Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Also famous for his manga characters posing like idiots for no apparent reason, inconsistent art colorization, and coining the Anime term "Stand", which is a physical manifestation of one's own willpower, which coincidentally, are named after various rock legends, and musical icons.

Part IV of JJBA got its fame, or rather infamy, due to the "DUWANG" scanlation. They're essentially English fan translations made by pseudo-English speaking Asians.

His style changed and evolved as each Arc/Part progressed, from muscular men posing like idiots, to lean men wearing haute couture-esque fashion posing like idiots. But hey, his art style looks fantastic, and the manga's story ain't half bad either.

The art may look gay, and people say it's not, but it actually is. You can't deny it.

Samples:

Not too recent, but sums up the recent art style pretty much.

He also authored several other manga titles such as Baoh, Lucky Irene, and a few others, but all manga artists start out as beginners. Some had high potential, while others' past are better left off forgotten.

Spoiler: Baoh Sample. (click to see content)

Spoiler: Other weeaboo manga characters he drew based on his original style. (click to see content)

Spoiler: There's this one time he got featured at the Louvre. (click to see content)

Spoiler: Gucci hired him at one point, as well. (click to see content)

Spoiler: Oh, yeah. This also happened for some reason. (click to see content)

Spoiler: As a closing statement, here are a few things that had happened along the way. (click to see content)

Rest in peace, Tamez. Thank you for everything.

Eiichiro Oda, Hirohiko Araki, and Yusuke Murata.

Those three are my fave manga artists, and their works are truly inspiring. Words are not enough to express how beautiful their art styles are.

Although I found out about Araki and Murata later, their art is awe-inducing, it wasn't long before I was infatuated with One Punch Man and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.

Maybe this is too much to ask, but could we follow the post format of the OP? Artist name > (Optional Text) > Sample work? Not everyone knows every artist, and it'll save us the trouble of searching info regarding the artists we don't know.

I really like Rikdo Koshi's (author Excel Saga) art. His facial expressions and poses are top notch. the characters really feel alive, also his writing, and sense of humor are great as well..

It's hard for me to show what a good example of what I'm saying unless you read the manga, all I can find now are covers, which just don't do it, not that it's bad, I can't find any scans, personally I think the chapter that shows it the best is Volume 20, chapter 6 (chatper 131).

Spoiler, click to toggle visibilty

also Kazuki Takahashi's(author of the original Yu-Gi-Oh!) Style and poses are nice.

Keisuke Itagaki I think nowdays. I love weird and grotesque bodies and faces and his action is fantastic without going totally overboard with speed lines.

Man, Yujiro Hanma for best beast dad.

That idea with the "you being so muscular will result to you having a demon-esque deformed back" was pure genius. How could I have forgotten about Baki.

Next up, I have Yasuo Ohtagaki, who authored Moonlight Mile and Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt. His art style just screams atmosphere and grit. I love it.

I've recently become a big fan of Kōhei Horikoshi through his work on My Hero Academia.  He's got a really unique style that blends typical manga sensibilities with some heavy influences from golden age American comics that really stands out.

He's also got a lot of talent for creating these big dynamic action sequences:

Not to mention he's capable of creating some truly unnerving horror-themed work as well:

Since Miura and Murata have been mentioned, I go out there and say Hiroya Oku

Everyone knows Gantz with its huge spreads and epic moments

But I feel he's really refined his style with Inuyashiki, his latest work

Spoiler: Also he draws some really luscious ladies (click to see content)

im not one to harp on other people's opinions but... dragon ball z? the most overexposed and most generic artstyle? atleast the first dragonball had a cartoony charm to it.
anyways here are my favorite mangakas:
Takayuki Yamaguchi:
Spoiler, click to toggle visibilty
Ito Junji. i know his characters are all very generic looking but he very good at drawing body horror and terrorfiying creatures:
Spoiler: may be a bit gross and nsfw (click to see content)
Hajime Isayama is very good with action sequences but sometimes his proportions can get a bit messed up

i also like Oda Eiichiro, Kentaro Miura and Yusuke Murata but they're already mentioned.

yea an opninon but cmon no matter the stlye or how real the art looked or the texture or value of shading in ones manga art style. No one had a style like Akiras. He just an art style still and character desgin like no one else. Why you think so much people are inspired by it. Oda Eiichiro And Masashi are both inspired by DB and DBZ heavily. generic? shit best generic art ive ever seen

I don't even remember if that panel is from that specific manga or another oku manga. I knowthat meeru no kimochi has a scene that plays like that; that manga has some nudity, even thought it's probably the manga by oku with less nudity of them all.

^^I'l take this moment to jerk off Baki a bit more by mentioning that when the series first referenced Miyamoto Musashi back during The Son Of Ogre, Takehiko Inoue was the one who drew the few pages of him.

Now the current Baki arc is all about the guy.

Since all the good stuff seems to already be taken, I guess I'll wax on about a favorite of mine. I like Shintaro Kago's work because of his dark yet playful sense of humor and the strange turns some of his artwork can take. Even though a large portion should be off-putting to most well adjusted people, he is primarily an ero-guro artist after all, his of work doesn't seem to bask in its mania  just for the sake of it. Kago does a good job of using the repulsive nature of his work to weave some of the incredibly bizarre stories. Kago also has the tendency to get experimental with the layout of his work. He also did the cover and artwork for Flying Lotus's last album which I do love to death. Not the most distinctive artist, but has flourishes on the far side of weird. There be samples.

HARA TETSUO

Wikipedia said:
Tetsuo Hara is a Japanese manga artist, best known for drawing the series Fist of the North Star (known as Hokuto no Ken in Japan), which he co-authored with Buronson.

Samples:
Spoiler: Fist of the North Star (click to see content)
Spoiler: Fist of the Blue Sky (click to see content)

Hara Tetso's Work Checklist:

[✓] Recycled Protagonist
[✓] Muscular Men
[✓] Explosive Gore
[✓] Overpowered Martial Art
[✓] Wash-Rinse-Repeat Plot
[✓] Slick Hairstyle which is probably an iron toupee *hint hint*

His art had been my inspiration for the longest of time, and the shading/cross-hatching style he did with FOTBS was truly spectacular. I am yet to read his most recent work, which is Ikusa no Ko, but I've heard a lot of good praises, so expect something good in stored for its readers. Hopefully.

Rest in peace, Tamez. Thank you for everything.
