After watching the first two seasons and playing this game along with everything else from this franchise I am still trying to understand the appeal of this series. Don't get me wrong I do enjoy the shows and whatnot but I don't understand what of this would cause such a huge following. There has to be something I am overlooking.

Back on topic, the game is really fun given what it is and I wonder if it gets better by playing it with a NES controller. Or does that sound stupid?

This game is pretty nice, although it's a little frustrating that the hardest character to unlock is the least playable one.

So I finally had my Pony-term-for-virginity lost and I watched the first two episodes (was gonna watch just the first but when I saw it was a two-parter, at that point I actually wanted to find out what happened and went right to the next episode). I was expecting utter crap that adult males watched solely for ironic purposes. Instead, I was actually pleasantly surprised by it. Granted, there were some negatives (ie: okay the only negative was FUCKING PINKY PIE), but I actually found myself enjoying it. Probably more than I should have but hey.

Before I continue on with the show, is it more of the good vs evil battles, or does it stop doing that after it exceeded my expectations?

If you like good-vs-evil-stuff, you should see the Season 2 opening and finale two-parters :yesgoi: (I suggest watching in order though, there is character development and you're gonna watch it all sooner or later anyways)

as person man said is moslty slice of life with some adventure episodes (here be dragons). but as for good vs evil battles it's only for season beggining and finale (in season one case it's only at the beggining).

Ponies!!!  :D

I've found the show to be cute, fun and quite refreshing so far.
It is a very nice alternative to all those ubber violent animes with the same plot that tend to flood these parts. And my niece loves it, so I can spoil her with MLP toys too.
