Oh shit Mewtwo is coming

Kinda predicted it after GAME_MASTER files nerfed his stats but still, I am hyped!

EDIT: Now with a quote from the site:

Quote
Trainers,

Earlier today, Trainers battled against the Legendary Pokémon Mewtwo at the Pokémon GO Stadium event in Yokohama, Japan. Thousands of Trainers in attendance were able to successfully catch Mewtwo and add it to their Pokédexes. In the coming weeks, you, too, will have the opportunity to battle and catch Mewtwo with the new Exclusive Raid Battle feature.

Exclusive Raid Battles are similar to existing Raid Battles, with a few notable differences. Exclusive raids will periodically appear at Gyms around the world; however, unlike existing raids, Trainers will be invited to join an Exclusive Raid Battle. To receive an invitation to participate in an Exclusive Raid Battle, Trainers must have successfully completed a raid recently, by defeating the Raid Boss, at the Gym where the Exclusive Raid Battle will be taking place. The invitations will include advance warning of when the Exclusive Raid will take place, giving them ample time to coordinate with other Trainers before taking on the powerful Raid Boss.

Mewtwo is the first Pokémon that Trainers will be able to face in Exclusive Raid Battles, but other powerful Pokémon may also start to hatch from the Raid Eggs found at Exclusive Raid Battles over the next several weeks. Make sure you’re prepared to battle Mewtwo by powering up your Pokémon and battling in raids at Gyms near you!

Legendary Pokémon Take Flight

Over the past three weeks, thousands of Legendary Pokémon have been defeated in Raid Battles around the world. In celebration of this achievement and to give Trainers another chance to catch Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, and Lugia, all four of these Legendary Pokémon can be battled in Raid Battles from August 14 through August 31. Be on the lookout for these Legendary Pokémon at a raid near you!

Starting August 31, the Legendary Pokémon Raikou, Entei, and Suicune will begin appearing in Pokémon GO. Trainers worldwide can look forward to battling these Pokémon together with friends in Raid Battles for the chance to catch the trio of Legendary Pokémon originally from the Johto region. Raikou, Entei, and Suicune will be traveling the world throughout the coming months. From August 31 to September 30, you can find these Legendary Pokémon in the following areas of the world:

Raikou, an Electric-type Legendary Pokémon, can be battled throughout the Americas.
Entei, a Fire-type Legendary Pokémon, can be battled throughout Europe and Africa.
Suicune, a Water-type Legendary Pokémon, can be battled throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
On September 30, all three of these Legendary Pokémon will move to a different location and will be available for Trainers to battle with friends until October 31. They will make their final stop in the last remaining location on October 31. Raikou, Entei, and Suicune will be available for this limited time period, so make sure to battle against them when they arrive at Gyms near you!

Also EX Raid Passes will be given in Sept. 6 as part of a field test.  Additionally, a new update for Raid Battles makes it so you can see how many trainers are active before you can use your Raid Pass.

In honor of @Jango, I named this thing based on his handle.  Let it inject fear into gyms.

Gastly, Drowzee, Cubone, and other spooky Pokémon are back again this Halloween, and this time, they’re bringing some special friends! Sableye, Banette, and a few other Ghost-type Pokémon originally discovered in the Hoenn region will be making their first-ever appearance in Pokémon GO. The rest of the Pokémon first seen in the Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire video games will gradually arrive starting as early as December! We hope Trainers enjoy this special Halloween treat. The Halloween celebration will start on October 20 at 12:00 P.M. PDT and run until November 2 at 1:00 P.M. PDT.

A special Pikachu will be out celebrating Halloween in an all-new costume, and you can, too! Dress up your avatar for the occasion by wearing Mimikyu’s Disguise Hat. You’ll also earn extra Candy while you’re out trick-or-treating with your Buddy Pokémon: Candy rewards from catching, hatching, and transferring Pokémon will be doubled, and your buddy will find Candy twice as fast during the Halloween celebration! Last but not least, you’ll have the opportunity to stock up for your upcoming adventures with special boxes from the in-game shop, featuring items such as Raid Passes and Super Incubators.

While you’re out looking for Sableye, Banette, and other spooky Pokémon, use your Pokémon GO AR camera to capture festive photos and share them on social media using #PokemonGOHalloween. As always, make sure to remain alert and aware of your surroundings while playing Pokémon GO this season.

In additional to Hoenn Pokemon, there is now gameplay changes and encounter rates based on actual weather (rain, clear, fog, snow, and windy).

https://pokemongolive.com/en/post/decdevupdate-weather

Quote
Dynamic Weather Gameplay:

The Pokémon GO user interface will reflect each Trainer’s current local weather.
Certain Pokémon will be more likely to appear frequently in weather that suits them the most.
These Pokémon will yield bonus Stardust when caught.
These Pokémon are more likely to have greater potential in battle.
Move types that match certain weather conditions will deal extra damage in battle.

Battle Parties (Beta):

Trainers will be able to create and name teams of up to six Pokémon in their Pokémon collection for quick access when participating in Gym battles and Raid Battles.

Pokémon Storage:

Trainers will be able to increase the maximum number of Pokémon they can collect in their Pokémon Storage from 1,000 to 1,500 by purchasing Pokémon Storage Upgrades in the in-game shop.

Also Ho-Oh extended till 12/14.

So...is it just me, or did Dittos stopped to disguise themselves as other POKéMON? Because I catched over 50 Pidgeys, Rattatas, Sentrets, Hoothoots, Zigzagoons and Gen 3's Pidgey stand-in, yet none of them were a Ditto in disguise, and one of the Special Research missions is to catch a Ditto.
Because, you know, just owning a Ditto from before the research missions simply doesn't fucking count!!! >:(
