Marvel vs Capcom Clash of Super Heroes in Full HD

A new project more feasible to develop, i will use this thread to show the progress for this since there are only 320x240 or 640x480 versions made by doorhenge many years ago and its editions by others in recent times and the lack of a proper widescreen version (i think there was one by mugen imperio latino using 384x224 resolution which is not available anymore).

Don´t be confused, this is made by me enterely using first the original emulated at 384x224 resolution and then passing each image trought an 1920x1080 treatment. Of course you can expect quality on this project and there will be available the original standard version if people want it for a classic experience.

Modern remastered version and Classic upscaled version work in progress previews:

--Work in progress--

Edit 0 - Already finished all the intro sequence, now i can move to others screens and since there are a lot of shared images i suppose this will be faster to do it now.
Edit 1 - Finished intro, menu, options, versus, victory and game over; only left is select ,credits and ikemen continue and challenger screens.
Edit 2 - Converted to Full HD with new images, now i need to add a new flash effect
Edit 3 - Fixed backgrounds ,maybe i will drop the realistic one in favor for just the upscaled version, i need a flash for vs and better intro portraits.
Edit 4 - Getting away some place holders.
Edit 5 - New remaster logo.
Edit 6 - Starting the process for separate all characters for the upscaled intro.
Edit 7 - Select cursors done, now i need new hd fonts
Edit 8 - Don't like at all how it looks in general this project, redrawn everything is a better yet harder way than use a simple filter.
Edit 9 - Use of place holders again during redrawn process, this will take some time so maybe is not as quick than i thought.

I really want a proper well done remaster just as SF2THD if not i just simply can use a filtered emulator to play the game and that is not the point for the project.

--Work in progress--

If any suggestion im all eyes to know them.
There is no knowledge that is not power

This is great! I was slightly working on a HD remake of MvC1 as well. This is all I've made up to now - pretty much just the select screen:

The picture replacements from the first spoiler look out of place. Especially Morrigan.
So I'd surely would use the upscaled versions.

But this is your edit. Please, do it your way and keep us posted.

Both look asweome but I like NDSilva HD sprite more look more cleaner to me, compare to MangeX I can't explain it better but MangeX has too much water based paint and been over painted while NDSilva is more cleaner and easy to look at, if that make any sense to anyone here

I do like the addition of details and/or textures though. As long as it still fits within the source design, it's pretty much good to go.

With that said, I took some inspirations from the MangeX pictures, and applied a lighting/shadow and some blur effects to the front elements of my previous screen:

Ah, the amazing things you can find out in GIMP... :pleased:

If anyone is interested, here's the separated graphics:
