Would love to see more of her! I can imagine a proper moveset for her since she have a more "white magic witch" style looking XD

A little further on this one. Just some touch ups to do now and her aura.

Maybe I'll try her walk or jump next.

Thank you! DS style hasn’t been as tough as I thought it would be. Im not use to the limited frames so it’s fun figuring out the best frames to use. I’m not looking forward to all the touch ups though...

Look at the bright side. Shading wise they have to be the simplest! Especially her!

That’s definitely true! I couldn’t believe how some things were shaded or animated when I was looking through sprite sets. I don’t know how I never noticed before.

Looping the crouch aura, cleaning up the cuffs a bit more to match the idle frames, and maybe making the hand a bit bigger.

^pretty much

I think these are done. Anita can finally crouch!

I like the aura but I'm not sure Capcom would have given it to her through the whole match. She doesn't have it in Marvel Super Heros.

I wasn't going to give it to her all the time in mine. Maybe they can just be used as extended stance anims. So when she sits idle for too long they flare up

Looks dece.

Hope you can take the time to answer this but how do you go about animating fabric in motion? It always seems to give more trouble than animating some form of action (even if I'm not uber great at animating stuff).

I struggle with animating that myself. Most or the time I look at SF3 sprites for clothing that moves though.

The best thing you can do is reference fabric either in real life or in other animations, youtube has a surprising amount of videos you can reference too. Most game sprites seem to really skip animating fabrics for some reason. look at cps2 sprites, M.bison has a cape that hardly moves at all. I wish I had better advise for this one.

Nah, it's all good. At least it leaves some room for me to discover and learn by myself, right?

I never did know that YouTube had references for stuff like fabric animation, I'll have to definitely search that in my free time. Thanks for the heads up.

Had some free time to mess with an idea. Still just a concept but I'm happy with the direction its going in.

I realize vs games don't normally redesign the logos to match but I thought it would be cool to see everything match.

Is it ok if I use this? Do you have a larger image of it?
Slow and steady wins the race, but there is a darkness... growing inside of me...

And if you provoke it...

I will slay you all.

Anita's animation process is truly inspiring. :) Makes me wonder if there is a movelist for her somewhere...

What were you planing to use it for? This is the only version I have available, it's just a concept, it's blurry and unfinished so I would be sad to see this version used in an actual DSvsSF project. You are welcome to use it for whatever though.

Thank you. I'm trying to post more to get people excited about animations and sprites. New sprites makes Mugen a lot more interesting for everyone.

I wish there was an official movelist! Right now I just have "doing a spell" while crouching, standing and in air planned. But I know JNP has some cool ideas for her too.
