The Deadly Rave is a given. As for the Shine Knuckle, I really like the use of the Dunk a lot more than Rising Tackle.
And yeah, the improved modeling / rendering is a big leap, Rock looks great.

I hope he keeps on being low tier, it was part of his charm.

Oh, I looked it up,
Rock was shown to be still a kid in Terry's winposes.
... in 2002, which was a dream match. 2001 too, but that was SNK's first dip into their swan song. Just go ahead and count it as a retcon. It's simply saying that there was a time when Geese was freshly dead and Terry had picked up a young Rock. We'll see if he has any story for himself anyway or if he's just a fish-out-of-time from Verse / DLC magic. But I'm pretty sure there's enough wiggle room either way to go whichever way they decide and force it to make sense however they chose to.

A part of me expects Rock to have some special dialogue against Terry in arcade mode to solve that mystery but another part of me suspects that DLC characters will only have special dialogue against other DLC characters because that way SNK saves money by not having to get back VAs from the base game for just a couple of new lines.

Rock appears in Terry's team ending in 2003 and he looks about his normal age

I now want a story about the Kyo clones trying living a normal school life and failing. Anyways so who thinks there's gonna be a second dlc character pack. I imagine SNK would probably release another because they likely want to be extra careful that they have enough money for another game. Also Did anyone hear about Love Heart getting bought out.

one of the kyo clones finished high school for kyo and now a scholar for top university in japan.

and kof 03 i thought that was the same as garou's timeline seeing terry is wearing the bomber jacket and all.

yeah i liked it too but that spin before he does it kinda looks awkward. why not just go full power dunk?

Because MotW Terry's Power Dunk did a twist with his shoulders like that instead of the elbow or uppercut from High Angle Geyser. I like it better too.

? He does the charging knuckle, then an uppercut, then a spinning rising shoulder tackle, then the dunk. What part of it do you mean ?

Actually before he did an outright rising tackle to go up. They couldn't have that and the dunk(would look weird) so they changed it to him spinning upwards while upright. Also I wonder what happened to Kusanagi story wise. He just kinda poofed out of the story.

He's the result of a corrupted Chizuru, so I guess he was just an illusion?

2002 considers him a Nests clone, but that's just a dream match. And they were all wiped out anyway in 99.

What I like the most about that ending is that Rock throws you out of the loop and makes you miss all the other cameos: Franco Bash, Andy, Hon Fu, a classic Terry look-alike and possibly white Duck King.

There's another ? who is clearly Andy speaking a bit before that ("where did they come from" with the back of Andy's head in big) supporting the implication that the latter ? is someone we know. Rock in this picture, or Andy again in the distant back. ... Actually, it's probably Andy again, the Fatal Fury buddies are in the back and the people, pushing in the foreground are the fans, including the look-alikes... It wouldn't make sense for Rock to be there instead of with Andy's group.
