Both. The normal will be available all the time while the special one from z3 will only be active with a mode i'm planning to add.

an acurrate and functional chain rod will be a pain in the ass to code correctly  :P

From what bluecross said the basic coding is done just needs acurraticy tweaking. he's working on the sheild next.

I was talking about the enemy grab-and-drag part, how did you solved that part without creating an animation for each frame of the attack? or you did that O_0

example:

CHAIN ROD:

. . . . . >

ATTACK STARTS:

. . .> (advances 3 pixels)

ATTACK HITS:

. . .> (freezes in position)

DRAGS ENEMY:

. .> (uses initial animation in reverse since the hitting frame)

that theory but applied to every single moment the chain rod can hit with is like 45 frames in total is a pain in the ass to code like I said so I wanna know how you fixed that :P

custom state with animation time -1 ,Target binds triggered by directional commands, animations triggered by targets bodydist, or whatever...it seems easy to code to me.....But it's all going on in my brain so i could definitely be wrong. Plus i i don't really know the actual function of this chain rod  :P

the problem is you need an animation for each possible moment the enemy gets grabbed (an anim for the entire chain rod or for the lights that for the chain as kira does with his zero which includes the bug im talking about)

also the chain rod works like scorpion's spear.

Well in that case, i guess it can grab in the Air aswell then yes it would be annoying to get the right animation for each type of grab moment.. :P

im not talking about that, im talking about the chain rod (spear rope in scorp's case) retracting after hitting, the retraction of the chain rod, do you get what I mean? do you understand my point? men I need help to explain this, Kira show your face here now!  >:(

The grab and drag function is good to go, the only main problem its that it will not hit if zero its too close from the opponent. The chain will hit if the arrow is at the last end of the rod hits the opponent. Im currently working on that and i will post today with the results.

It sure does. i tested against my Model Zx, N-Mario's Vent and P.O.T.S Ryu  and it repels every single projectile, helper, whatsoever they throw.  :sugoi:

hey guys new update. zero can now dash both ways and wall jump BC says its about 95% accurate. Also the triple rod is near completion.

First off, this idea is awesome, glad someone's finally doing it (was about to start on it myself >.>)

Second, after this is all said and done, do you think a sprite edit of this for Link (The Legend of Zelda) would be cool? You could translate a few of the weapons over, though I don't know about all of them.

A few weapon translations I've thought of:

Z-Saber = Master Sword
Buster Shotgun = Fairy Bow (Fire, Ice, and Light Arrow for elements)
Shield Boomerang = Hyrulian Shield and Zora's Boomerang
Triple Rod = No translation (yet, I haven't played all of the LOZ games)
Chain Rod = Hook Shot/Long Shot
Recoil Rod = No translation (yet)
Z-Knuckle = none yet (though maybe could be used for all his other weapons IE: Megaton Hammer)

Attack Translations:
Rakuhouha = Din's Fire

Just a thought >.>

thank you for the compliment. but as for you idea, well your going to have to discuss this with bluecross but not until this project is completed.

We are offically in beta status. all weapons are complete but need tweaking for accuricy. and specials and other such things i will not discuss are being added. No beta release planned yet.

Lol :P Kinda. Didn't though of anything else to access the other skills of the weapons. This one has his limits,  it only last about 1000 ticks then it goes off.

Why would I purposefully halt the completion of something this awesome? o.O

I really like how this is turning out so far. (Especially with a working Chain rod.) Can't wait to have him in my roster (along with damn near all the other MMX-ZX characters that exist)
