Ohhhh man. Time to kick some dirt and dust, right?

Anyways, been a while! I've noticed when I create stages I like input, criticism, feedback and positive reactions, it really makes the end outcome worth it for me. So I decided to revive the WIP thread and get more input on what I'm working on before I release it.

After releasing EoE I'm still in the process of working on Dragon Ball All Stars stages, I won't show much of that here because I have constant help from Neocide and Hatter with those, but I have some projects on the side I'd like to work on. This is also a good opportunity for people I owe work to (mostly Alpyne D, Anti-11, & Markpachi sorry buds!) to see that i'm still alive and am going to get started on what I need to do.

I've got a few things on the backburner that i'll show later, right now my main priorities are Bistro Cruise and Urien Remix.

Bistro:

This is hella old. Been in Mugen for a while just remained untouched.

I still need to clean up the floor quite a bit and fix a lot of things aesthetically so there will be pretty much a complete overhaul. But this is going to be the gist of it, a moving sky-box. I'm thinking about adding different city's maybe a more vibrant sky. Considering basing it on a specific area so it'll be easier to include necessary stuff lol.

HR Urien Remix

This one's a little different. It's not in Mugen yet and remains an unfinished concept. I want to add a big vibrant moon, maybe have a light rain or very light snow going on. Maybe an overall shine/glow to bring more liveliness to it.

Open to ideas!

Demn Fruit Bowl stage V:

Yo btw maybe to make the train look more clean or less repetitive could remove those power w.e things these: http://prntscr.com/4jdtjg
Maybe adding some steel robes or chains from the train to the roof top? yeah bit random that :P

also maybe blur the ranbow by 1% or 2%

I'll do the blur since i'll be increasing the rainbows alpha eventually. I'll be editing the train as well, I'll probably end up doing it last though.

now go away, thanks for the feedback cham.

Awesome concept, reminds me of a anime. Could have the train travel through a portal and appear like in space. Also, have the girl riding the u corn, enter in through a small portal. She would be in the far background do. Just food for thought my man, will post more ideas, later on.

@DW

It really shouldn't. I've got most of the elements I want planned out size wise which won't be much space at all, really. I get 60 FPS still. I don't have any heavy trans going on, or many humongous sprites that'll cause slow down. It should work just fine for you!  :) Thanks for the kind words.

Off Topic: Dat avatar. :smitten:

Ikr, Harley's so hhnngg.

Added flowers in front and back:

To do:
Finish cleaning unicorn animation and add.
Find/add new birds.
Do something with the train floor.
Maybe make the train bounce or something
Ask a close friend to help out with bgm!
Maybe overlay, I tested one I liked (color wise) and it didn't work well since there's already tons of bright elements within the stage

The BGM currently is this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9q-jKsf_p9A

I heard it while randomly cruising on GTAV one day, then saw parts of the stage elements on Konachan and instantly got the idea for this. I know with regular linking like Mediafire i'll most likely get hit with copyright up the ass so i'll see if my buddy can remove the vocals and maybe make some tweaks he's famous for.

@ Lith, I know you love it son.

@ Big Boss, thanks tons bro. Some great ideas i'll def take into consideration, Diss was expressing interest in a transitional collaboration some time ago, maybe he'll be willing to help here.

Yeah for now those may be placeholders. I'll try blending them a bit better or finding some new ones altogether. I may even consider not using them, they were mostly a last second idea.

Take your time, brother.

I appreciate that very much!

I've got the unicorn frames completed, all 10/10. Right now i'm coding them into Mugen, I just need to figure out placements for them so they don't disappear oddly.

Current to do list:
- Fix unicorn positioning/blending.
- Fix flower blending.
- Find/add birds.
- Do something to train to make it "different."

Ignore the lack of blending:

I'm not the best with colors, I'm actually color blind lol. I have a very hard time meshing certain colors together and I often ask for help from friends, I could totally use help on suggesting better blending options for both the flying unicorn and the flowers.

For birds maybe I can cut up and add an Eagle? It'd make a bit more sense then the Seagull sprites everyone uses, here's an Eagle I could edit:

This would take some major blending too.

Yeah, I was going to say the same for the shooting stars. I believe that old mortal kombat bridge stage, with the clouds had some shooting stars in it. Also, that rain version with a mist and the small puddles on the ground; would be groovy. Have the star animation moving, like in the Dracula unbound movie and the sounds during when he was learning of his powers. The scene, when he was in the water unconscious and awoke gazing in the night sky. Trust me a version with any of these ideas are win win. Good luck, big bro and happy holidays.

Thanks for the suggestion, Boss! I'll check out some MK stages, never thought about those. The rain may be added as well (not sure if separately coded for heavy rain/puddles. Or keep it one .def and just have them both be very light.)

Pach, constantly in the background i'm iffy about because you know how i feel about bg characters. But the idea of Q appearing once in a while, looking around and taking off wouldn't be bad imo

I think "Sky Battle - Night" by "Ziltama", would have the necessary stars falling and glowing for your stage. I think his stuff is open source, and would fit perfectly with your current concept.

Thanks, Boss! That was my original plan if I couldn't find any others to use. Color Ziltamas blue and re-animate them into my stage.

G, any plans on working with my old stages? IIRC You had Fallen Garden, remember?

I'm not so sure. When I took over those projects in the past I had the intention of finishing them for you/Watta cuz I thought you guys were quitting for good, lol. Now that you haven't since it's so close to completion I'd rather have you finish it if you're up to it. I showed Tamez Fallen Garden and the Unknown intro sparked his interest. He asked me to send it to him and said he could figure out a way to index it with little to no color loss, so if his unresponsive ass ever gets around I may add the intro to that and call it a day!

Got Urien's Stage in game. Haven't added the stars/moon/overlays yet. Going to add some colored fog behind the pillars, still debating on Q appearance and rain. May also use PI grass and recolor it blue-ish to match the stage so I can have some animated layer1 grass. This was basically a quick resolution/color loss test. Came out about how I expected, not 100% clear quality but decent for the colors involved. Coding it for WinMugenPlus (Testing in 1.0 to see if there's any fuck-ups but everything should work fine.) Decided to do this for animation tiling + the fact that all my other remixes are Winmugenplus.

Think i've got the grass figured out. Only thing that bothers me is how shitty it looks in shots, i promise in game it's not as bad lol. Anyone that's down to test lemme know and i'll run you a PM.

Also tried messing with the mountains a bit more, added a light fog behind the floor layer as well. Currently in the process of working on slight overlays and shooting stars which are posing an issue right now lol. I may just draw my own and not animate them and just tile them, considering just having the current stars in the sky twinkle and see if that fills up the sky a bit more, or maybe add some colored clouds.

Updated the sky quite a bit, did my own take on it. Scratched the idea of stars and just added a few twinkling brushes. Could use a bit more work, so those may be temporary place holders but i really like the way the clouds/fog compliment the sky.

All i'm thinking now is light rain, may not even add puddles. Will probably add the Q appearance that was suggested as well. After that I'm really only left with overlays on certain parts (as long as it doesn't drop fps) & bgm.

I must say grass moves, naturally and the fog is alright. Just need to be slowed down just some a ticks. Thinking about the overlay for the sky, I know the version you gave wasn't final or touched yet. Maybe something like ex does, to cover up rough pixels for mugen 1.0 limitations. I wonder if anyone tried the rgb trick, combined with the jigsaw method. Just thinking crazy but, yeah light rain would be cool something like a mist being displayed.

+Lights on the buildings.
+Light rain, flowing in a angle.
+Lights glowing, down the hallway. Maybe around the pillars.
+Water if possible on the right side, to replace the still lake.
+Fog in the top right side, around the fixture sticking out from the wall. To give the atmosphere life.
+Could have small particles falling from the center top opening.

Good luck my friend hope this food for thought, helps out some. When you are ready, send me a beta to test out. Peace

Hey, G. Just wanna share some feedback. Here in the crossed areas, I feel that it would be better if you were to make those regions darker. I know that you're doing a "remix" of SFIII stages, but I feel that it still looks too much like Gill's stage. Not that it's bad, or anything, but just a suggestion.

You could also probably make it a bit "deeper blue", the stage's color tint. Then match it with some red glints in the distance? I feel that it would look cool.

Oh, and make it rain heavily, though it might make it look generic? I doubt.

Rest in peace, Tamez. Thank you for everything.
