Open source mugen games can be launched much more faster.Ah, I see what you mean now. It most likely has to do with the logo that appears before the menu, in addition to having a slower computer. When I had an older desktop I had that same issue with any mugen motif with an intro or logo.At the moment I'd really just like to see this release get out first and foremost, but in the future I'll continue to look into shrinking the file size and if necessary possibly having a version that's streamlined further. .25 nor any other versions will not be opensource however.
I just have found something strange in Chatman's screenshot where Scorpion throws a harpoon. Harpoon is not fully displayed. I mean, how Scorpion will draw his opponent with the harpoon if the harpoon is in the air?
It works fine against airbornes. To prevent awkward looking drawing in, he'll reposition the opponent's chest section to where the tip of the harpoon is, in case the opponent was hit stretching out an arm or something.As for it not being "fully drawn", we'd have to think of a reliable, bug-free method to make it constantly come out of his hand and that doesn't seem too possible. It's gonna look weird at big distances, but it's fully functional.
How much time we have to wait for v0.25? You understand that the time between 0.2 and 0.25 is already longer than between 0.1 and 0.2? Do you plan the release at all???
I just got back from discussing it with the group and it would seem that all that's left now is compatiblity with IKEMEN, to see if there are any rough edges that need to be worked on.
