The Sonic stage is nice, but the varying resolutions of the elements bothers me. Was it like this in source?

Sonic stage
- Missing leaves that scroll up from the bottom then fade out.

Nights stage
- Snow animation could be better. The fading doesn't fit well.
- If that's a constellation on the top right that fades in and out shouldn't that be layered in the back with the same deltas as the sky.
- The bottom left gold rings in the back are barely noticeable. I thought you didn't add them in at first.

Other than these issues i've listed both stages are great.

Finally, the best Green Hill for MUGEN.

I've been told that the stages from their sources indeed use 3D models, so, did you actually pre-render the models or draw them yourself?

Nep, he probably took some screenshots + edits. It's quite laborious, especially with the different angles you have to deal with, but it works.
As mentioned, you can see the difference in the quality of some elements. For example, behind the sunflower is quite sharp on the ramp, although the sprite is using some blur.
With some more editing the stage will be perfect.
