reading through mugen documents i came across log "logarithm"

one of the examples was value = Log(2,64)

which aparently equals 6.0

using google calculator it exuals 0.4 why is this?


but then on a website it said

log2 64 = x

2^x = 64

x = 6

6 being in float form 6.0 in the docs


and how would you work it out

You're using the wrong thing in google calculator.

Log(b,x) in mugen gives back the logarithm of the number "x", using number "b" as a base.
If by=x, then you have y=logb(x), b being the base for the logarithm. The most used bases are 2, e (e=2.718...) and 10.
