The King of Fighters 11 PS2 ver 2.0

Autor: Syokool (in other forums: Ariel)



This game is based in the popular game KOF XI and its only for non comercial pourposes. I'm sure I forgot a lot of things, but I try to report the most important updates of this mugen. Don't forget this is still under construction, if you find one miss thing or a bug, please report me in my youtube channel.

FAQ.

Q. Why this is the version 2.0 and not a version 1.1 or similar?
A. This is because I changed and updated a lot of things in the characters and in the core of the game. Don't take care about the number of version, each version I release has a lot of updates.

Q. I noticed there are some chars that aren't like the original characters in KOF XI, why?
A. All chars, codes, cutscenes, etc. are modfied in order to get a mugen accurate the KOF XI system, you will notice some changes in the chars, if you find some bug or a miss thing, please let me know (if it's possible with an image and the number of state, it help me a lot and you can have a new version in less time).

Q. You are releasing some versions like betas, ver1.0, ver2.0, etc.; will you continue release a lot of versions after this?
A. I don't like to release a lot of betas, my goal is make a full game the most accurate to the KOF XI (with the limitations of mugen). I think there will be a ver3.0 and a ver4.0 with the complete roster and other things. When I finish this project, be sure I will say that in a readme like this.

Q. How can I help you?
A. If you are good at coding, spriting or something like that, you can contac me by e-mail. I need someone who wants to make the winquotes sprites in English so I can update the game to my main language :D.

Q. Where can I get info about the progress of this game?

Q. Do you planned to make this mugen with a team like the Kof Zillion?
A. Maybe.

A. ¬¬ That isn't a question.

Q. Can I post your game and/or upload in other different server?
A. Yes, I don't mind about that. I only want to share my fanwork. Please, give the credits to the authors of the content of this game and don't quit this readme.

Updates ver 2.0.
- Fixed Kula's moves
- Fixed some hitsparks in Griffon
- Fixed Pause Ko with Kula
- Updated some chars of KoopaKoot
- Added Momoko's intro in KoopaKoot's Athena
- New code "NotHitBy" style KOF
- Fixed some velocities when the char is lying down
- All the commands were performed
- All the pallets are now in their correpondent button (I guess XD)
- Fixed some sprites of Benimaru and Tung
- Fixed "Nolifebars" assertspecial in Momoko and Shion
- Performed some Iori's commands and changed some hitsparks
- Added "Wall jump" to Ahuron's Athena
- Performed some Kyo's commands
- Fixed some System's sounds
- Added Mouser's Kim
- General air cleaning and a reduction of size in some project's files
- Fixed some animations in Benimaru
- Fixed Yuri's Leader special move
- Added long jump, and air jump move in every char of the roster
- Fixed ending in Iori
- Fixed Benimaru long jump
- Fixed some commands in Elisabeth
- Added score system (it will help me in the new winner screens and in a judgement indicator)
- Performed combo, winner, perfect and counter system (with less number of helpers :D) KOF XI style
- New engine
- Fixed Malin counter explods
- Fixed some juggles and limitations in special moves of Ash
- Fixed explods in Whip's leader move
- Performed crush system, now compatible with super special moves of Duo Lon
- Added KoopaKoot's Athena to the roster (yes, finally). Some characters like oswald, athena and mary have diferent authors. You can choose them above (or under) the char with the small portrait. It's because some chars appeared after I started working in this game.
- Added KoopaKoot's Blue Mary to the roster (the same of above :P)
- New winner screens and cutscenes system (I want to add the score system to the results in winner screens)
- Added Cutscene1 (dialog between Shion and Magaki after the 4 stage)
- Added Cutscene2 (before Shion, temporal until have the sprites for this :P)
- Added Cutscene3 (after Shion, temporal because I want this in a better resolution)
- Updated screenpak in mugen 1.0 and starting the convertion of all characters to mugen 1.0 (I don't know if it's good still developing this game for winmugen).
- Added Dizzy code (Stun meters).
- Fixed tag system (this is temporal until this mugen has the skill bars system).
- Added sounds for tag out in the mostly of chars.
- Fixed Mai's velocities in some projectiles.



To do:
- More palletes.
- Judgement indicator.
- New winner screens.
- Skill bar system... Is it necessary?
- Cutscenes.
- Winquotes in english.
- Stages with their correspondent intro.
- Zoom intro efect a la KOF XI (mugen 1.1)
- Stun bars.
- Performing tag system.
- Wait for new reports of bugs ; ).
- More chars?
- More music.
- Credits and Game over screen.
- Endings for mugen 1.0.
- Change the format of all players in order to have a common cmd file (for tag system).

And did you fix the color loss on Diana and Foxy?

It is the winmugen version but there is the mugen 1.0 version done.

If this is here, what do you think?
There is a 1.0 version but still not updated... well at least I don't see any topic on the 1.0 section...

And did you fix the color loss on Diana and Foxy?

No, I didn't. I'm working in a frontend to configure the game and creating the skill bar and judgement indicator system. I think it could be fixed once the game will be develop on mugen 1.1.

Thanks, ash was made by JIN, athena by KoopaKoot and Ahuron (there are 2 athenas in the game). Ramon is the last char (I still working on him).

The game has a common system with those effects; perfect, counter, ko pause, tag system, crush system, score system, etc.

In the forum ENDS mugen, I uploaded a complete serie of tutorials about how to do each thing of my game for an normal mugen game.
