Captain Falcon however still doesn't look like a robot, and doesn't look stiff or jerky like that.
Move Shadow's body parts.
Notice how his quills, and his hands and ears actually look like they are doing something in the original animation.

What I believe they're saying is -- your version of the idle is a good start, but is too static. If you don't want to use the normal idle and instead want something unique, you need to make his animation more lively, instead of too stilted. In comparison to Sonic's idle stance, Sonic is much more lively. Whereas if you use Shadow's OG idle stance, it'll be more consistent.

The first thing a MUGEN player typically sees is the character's idle stance... so even if Shadow is high quality, a stiff and lifeless animation may reflect badly on your final product.

If I may offer my two cents -- I like that! But I think there can be a few more inbetween frames.

For example, when he reaches the top and bottom of his animation, he just... stops. I think it should be a more fluid movement, if I may. Akin to the idle animation but a bit slower to allow the shaky hand to appear more pronounced and give Shadow a more menacing look. If that makes sense.

Not sure if this is intended but the top of his head is chopped off


Also there's just random pixels in spots on his shoes that make the animation a bit strange
His other ear should move too you know.

A reminder that your characters are still overlapping the hyper bar. But other than that, looks promising! Just gotta fix the animations so he doesn't look stiff and lifeless.

Also, not sure about them all being one image, but if you could send me a .zip file with them or just have that, but all the frames are separate images, I'd be fine.

Hey dude, I liked the idea! I have some feedback if you don't mind:

- use Layerno = 2 on the lifebars. They need to be on top of evertyhing, including the front layers.

- I would change the power bar size to half of the actual size

- The Shun Goku Satsu sound get repetitive very fast  and its kinda annoying :(

Other than that, good luck with your project.

2: Not sure about that, I think it looks fine, but I may consider that.

3: That's not a "Shun Goku Satsu sound". The hit sounds actually come from the anime "Dragon Ball Z". What you were actually hearing was this:

some advice on Option Screen , you can add your own custom Option fonts instead of using the standard fonts for it

I know this may seem a bit strange and out of place, and maybe like a shameless double post, but hear me out.

I've always had a very difficult time getting noticed. I've never really felt like I had an audience for basically the whole time I've been doing this. As you just saw, I posted 2 development updates, 1 of which had me outwardly asking for feedback, and yet, nothing. I'm honestly pretty sad about this. I mean, what am I doing wrong here?
So, I would like to say, one more time:
