Edit:

Open up the fight.def

p1.pos    = 7,-1
p1.face.spr = 9000,0
p1.face.facing = 1
p1.face.offset = 0,10; change to-2,10
;------------------------------------------ ;Player 2
p2.pos    = 313,-1
p2.face.spr = 9000,0
p2.face.facing = -1
p2.face.offset = 0,10; change to 2,10

If anyone's interested, I applied a name font and new combo counter to these bars, along with the above portrait alignment fix. :)
