This is going to head south very quickly and I'd rather it didn't, if only for the fact that everyone in this topic will be added to MA's long list of Plasmoid alts.

Seriously though, we don't need another "MUGEN ARCHIVE sucks" thread because most of us get the point already and I imagine people are sick to death of it.

Well it is a good thing and a bad thing.

Good thing is they have all that stuff sitting there in case things get lost. Websites go down all the time. Look at old dependable Photobucket.
Bad thing is, the head of that site is making a lot of money monthly on others works. Site costs around 100$ - 200$ a month to run. It's making around 500$ or so last time someone looked. He even pays some staff and lies to other staff that there is no payment.

They run giveaways that they dont give away. Harass their community by shutting down downloads and forcing people to talk "just for more clicks and money". Their staff are all hot heads and trolls. And none of the money gets put back into the site/forum. The code is falling apart.

The worst thing is, the community there is amazing and super nice but they're all under a tyrants roof.

Pretty much this. Though I have noticed that they've stopped using adfly for their links and they're just doing plain old banner ads, so I guess that's a plus. (although they have a 50mb download size limit for people who haven't signed up) It's a shame considering that mugen archive has a pretty decent interface for their website, only if their administration was better

Anyway, you can contact them about it, but they'll just ignore your request and ban you from their site.

Which is how this started lol.

Soon as I said "hey this is my stuff, whats up with this place?" instant perma ban.

Anyway sorry to bring this up. I was just wondering what was going on. Been out of the scene for a while and didn't realize. Feel free to lock this or whatever.

They will also upload creators work, but have changes in stats & sounds. Yet not mention that they changed your work & act like it's the original creation. Sometimes hours after you posted. I've seen my Blob over there, but it doesn't actually work because it only works in a full game. So the character is spawning clones all over the place lol.

Gonna say this. I was a member of that site for a while, but got banned trying to prove Mr. Ansatsuken's last publicly released character had......well, CP on it.

Got stuck with the "MFG Cannon Fodder" ban, and now I'm kinda tempted to just go to their Discord and demand my spot back, regardless of how shitty the site is. Stockholm Syndrome, maybe? Call it what you want, there's characters on that site I want that I can't get as an unregistered user.

How good is JDownloader?

You're not getting your account unbanned. Their Discord has a manual approval process that requires you to post in a specific thread on their forums to seek approval, so if your account's banned, then you're SOL. If you're somehow already approved, then they'll just ban you from the Discord server for making a fuss.

JDownloader doesn't work apparently.

I know I'm probably just being salty over nothin', but this shit has been bothering me for months now.

Well, if you guys wanted to know yeah MUGEN Crapchive still banning a lot of authors and editors for no reason at all or they put this: "Banned from uploading".
Also now non-registered people can't even access users profiles.
