I will be updating this post as I go.

Project Credits
Inktrebuchet-Sprite Artist / Sponsor
RajaaBoy-Character Programmer
O Ilusionista-3D rendering of "Option A" satellite (used as a base)

Sprite process
I am making rough sprites/smooth animations to start with (I want to get him coded and update the sff as I go... Like a rough draft/beta char.) That way I won't be wasting my time trying to making flawless SF3 sprites; people will be able to test him out in an early rough form; I won't loose my mind if I end up throwing out a third of the sprites and it will make this move a little faster so this project can have some substance.

Things to look forward too
-The most accurate SF3 gameplay
-Working Point system. including the grade system and screen.
-HTML Readme file packed full information and extras.
-Config file to change things to your liking.
-Animation accurate to that of SF3.
-Super art and palette select.
-Some new basic attacks to match SF3s near and far attacks.
-No basic attacks use plasma sword Cypher.( all sword based attacks are specials or supers)
-All animations have been replaced with new smoother animations, including the "options".

Good luck. I would suggest looking at the swords..."women" in that game I was looking at for a bit. "yatagarasu" I don't know anyone's name but Hanzo. Capturing video game footage is a good idea too; might help with consistancy. Sf3 has this weird rotoscope look sometmes.
Spriting is hard.

I actually have been studying it like crazy! I am pretty sure it will be one of my top references. The sword movements are so much more interesting done that way.

Luckly there are some pretty highquality videos of game play.

Good stuff man! I can't wait to see more! I'm a bit incoherent at the moment so I can't really say anything worth keeping for now. . .(X-Prophecy on the brain)

After spending most of the day working on small bits of animation for this project I have decided I am going to make rough sprites/smooth animations to start with, get him coded and update the sff as I go... Like a rough draft char. That way I won't be wasting my time trying to making flawless SF3 sprites; people will be able to test him out in an early rough raw form; I won't loose my mind if I end up throwing out a third of the sprites and it will make this move a little faster so this project can have some substance. ;D

That lineart is superb. Looks very accurate to 3S's character select art IMO. Nice job.
