Hello everyone.

SFxT mobile SFIV Volt for iphone are the only versions to have prerendered 2D sprites instead of 3D models.

Does anyone know how to extract the sprites?

On the internet there are many people who are struggling cropping sprites directly from SFIV / SFxT for PC but these are not always clean and the animations are not complete.

To get high quality sprites the only best way is to extract them from the file .ipa.

I trust in the best experts ripping.

Thanks.

You mean prerendered 3D models? like Killer instinct.
I'm also curious if they have their full moveset like the console games, and aren't just a simplified button masher...
I'm going to let god handle you people ✞

I think you need to decode the .apk/.ipa file and then take the graphics out. But concerning fighters (I have KoF XIII on my Android, and I'm thinking about getting SF4 Volt), I don't think it works that way....

Yeah Killer Instinct has prerendered 3D models, and they're ripped too. There are full sprite sheets up on the Spriters Resource, and I remember Killer Instinct sprite packs being available on the Infinity Mugen Team...

SFxT Mobile uses 3D models all around unlike Volt, so no sprites.

Yeah. Your better off working out something with SF4 Volt than SFxT Mobile. Also, you could alternatively do something with KoF XIII Android/I-12 for instance.

No point to that, he could just use XIII sprites.
KOF-i/Android's sprites are just really colorlossy downscaled versions of the originals.

Besides, he didn't mention doing anything KOF so why even bring it up. :V

Eh, I'm just throwing suggestions left and right without prior thought, man, that's all there is to it....

@Cr1st1aN: Coincidentally, have you tried ripping something from SF4 Volt? Why don't you download the .apk/.ipa file and try something with it and show us? It seems pretty interesting.

I tried to use Dragon Unpacker but to no avail.

Capcom lately is very well protected files contained in its games.

For example, still have not been extracted all the voices of the characters of SFXT for PC (Hadoken, Shoryuken, etc. ..)

In my opinion, few people know that SFIV Volt has 2D sprites instead of 3D models.

It takes a greater interest in the subject so that the best ripper can start working on it.

I am sure that these sprites are among the most beautiful ever.

Probably will be the last 2D sprites made by capcom.

Below are some animated characters in APNG format to 16 million colors well cut from S0nofKrypton.

They belong to the PC version. Unfortunately, not all animations are complete.

OBM files appear to be graphics (tiles by the looks of it too) but you'll have to figure out how to decode them yourself.

edit: Actually, you might be in luck, sort of. A cool Japanese guy appears to already wrote some code for taking OBM files and outputting PNG:

http://pacess.blogspot.co.uk/2011/07/street-fighter-iv-volt-obm.html

But it's in Objective-C. So you'd need to own a Mac, find someone who does and have them handle the files for you, or try and take what's written there and rewrite it in a language that can be compiled on Windows.

Nice find! If only I had a Mac.... :-\.... Do you think this could work for those characters??

@Cr1st1aN: If you manage to rip some graphics from SF4 Volt, could you please post them here? We would all love to see this happen.

Ok, the work of extraction / conversion of the sprite is almost finished.
The sprites are contained in sheets of 512x512 with 255 colors + alpha channel separately.
I am afraid that the animations are not comparable with those of the 3D vesion for PC.

In any case, however, may be the best ever made.
Below there is a sprite sheet of Ryu.
Before long I will release all the sheets of sprites in the game.

;-)

@Cr1st1aN: Great work, man! If you rip any more, I'm nominating you for a contributor star (purple star). Keep it up, because I expect to see Abel and DeeJay up there :D

EDIT: Dude. This is a .jpg file. If you want to share sprite sheets or sprites in general it must be posted as a PNG file, never post JPG files because it will always come out as blurry. Please reupload this, but as a PNG file this time.
