Anyone who wishes to know just what this project is all about can use this thread to find out. This is basically the go-to thread for general information.

Screen Shots

Bullet Points

Typical Info
-This is a fighting game made using the MUGEN engine. (Duh)

-It will be closed source. Sorry, no Orochi edits of my characters!

-It is based on the Mega Man X games for SNES but will also contain some additional content from the other 16-bit games. Wily Wars, MM7, MM Soccer.

Gameplay
-It will have 3 button gameplay.

-A super meter is present. It's purpose is to drain for every attack you perform, helping to reduce spamming and increase strategy.

-No super moves are currently planned.

-No charging for busters are planned. This does not mean that the buster shots will be removed, simply the need to charge them.

-In rare cases characters will have special stage interactivity. For example, Sting Chameleon has his gate to climb on in smaller boss stages only.

Presentation
-Music will include songs from the original source games as well as many "X-Style" remixes by artists most may be familiar with from Youtube such as DJKlzonez, WizzyWhipItWonderful, and Daveeeey.

-Although it contains many stages from the source games, it will also contain many stages sprite edited by yours truly. Some will be original stages, others will be based on previous Mega Man game stages. For example, so far I have done Concrete Man, Solar Man, and Wily stage 1 in 16-bit X style.

-In-game system graphics are all sprite edited by yours truly from misc 16-bit Mega Man games as well as the occasional Zero or Battle Network sprites purely for effects and such.

-Character and stage sprites are often ripped by me, although I have gotten sprites off of websites/rippers as well. Yes, I am planning on crediting everyone who's materials I've used when this is released. I will have a few characters with sprite edits done by others as well as myself.
