Considering the 20th anniversary of mugen is just a few months away, I was considering doing something a bit special for it's birthday. It's not going to be anything huge but I do need to know info about previous character of the years and stages if possible, or any analogue of such. I do know the mugen guild start page has the characters of the week from the past archived on it though I was curious if there was any other awards that where given out in the past 20 years.

Are there any surviving records of any CotMs from before 2011?

God, I hope not.

mfg specifically, no (though there was character of the week, which is archived in the start page of mfg) but I know a few other websites had their own versions of them.

  • Build it, shape it, by my will.
From memory in the old Infantry days, Seanaltly's Solid Snake won Character of the Year in '08.

There were also contests for characters on RandomSelect. If you search on the Internet Archive you should find something.
