Just saying what I've changed so far. If I've uploaded the update, I'd specifically announce so.
Thanks for reading my signature.

Hm... I just realized one more thing that's odd.

His collisions are fine for the most part. But the red collisions are lined up perfectly with the blue ones...

Giving him very little priority. Perhaps look at how others make collisions for attacks, and judge for yourself how Mario's should be?

If he does anything else, it would be cool to see him use other characters from the Smash Bros. series, like Mr Game and Watch, Link would be awesome, maybe even Solid Snake or Captain Falcon ... that's just a wish list.

That ^ to, using Warner's Wario would even be cool for a base ... regardless, this Mario shows a good bit of potential, sorry about de-railing your topic with wish lists, looking forward to the next update!

ShinRyoga did have a Luigi. It was basically a resizing/voice swap of his Mario.

I've been working on Mario on and off, but the update's not quite ready for upload yet. Anyway, I'm not sure if I'll be making a Luigi, and I might do a Bowser in the same style, it's that he doesn't have enough sprites, and I cannot edit sprites for the life of me.

Okay, I've been testing this Mario quite a bit more lately...

I notice a simple L.P, M.P, Heavy Mario Tornado gives you almost a full bar of meter.

You can get to 3 bars pretty quickly.

This combined with how powerful his supers are can make him quite deadly...

Along with the other suggestions I made. It might be a good idea to make him gain a bit less meter for his moves.

Unless your intention is to make him a character who relies on meter to do most of his damage?

Another thing I notice... The parrying seems a bit odd. It almost seems like it's too loose or something. I find myself parrying when I don't mean to.

Still, negatives aside. I'm having quite a bit of fun messing around with him. Though I did make him smaller with the CNS file. Since he looks better this way.

This Mario actually looks kinda cool. His size however... just please fix it when your character is 100% done! I'm gonna test him out though.

I think he's worth holding on to man, I really do ... he does need some work, but he shows plenty of potential.

Mario's been updated. Here's what I did:
-Adjusted hitstun, startup, and cooldown of many attacks
-Added Hammer Smash move (heavy version might look odd though)
-Fixed oversight that allowed Mario to taunt in the air
-Zero Counter should work correctly (Might still have bugs, the move is very hard to get out properly, let alone testing it)
That's about it, I may have forgotten other changes though.

What about him? I already made an edit of Mike's to be mostly CvW style. And there aren't really enough sprites for a 6-button character, let alone a "POTS-style" version.

Did you make him smaller? Or adjust some of the other things people mentioned?

I'm gonna test this new version out for a bit. And see if I come across anything out of place.

Edit: Okay... I'm doing some testing now.

He's still very big... I highly suggest leaving his size at 1, rather then 1.3, this makes him not only too big, but makes his sprites messy.

Seems like the block advantages are better now. And his target combo works alright now.

And he gains meter less quickly.

However... I've come across some odd things. His dodgeroll went from being too slow, to being too fast. Try and base it off of Ryu's dodgeroll. Or Morphman's Ken.

His priority is still pretty bad. Since all the attack collisions are perfectly aligned with the hurt box. This gives him very poor priority against other moves (except his new Hammer move, that seems alright priority wise.) Look at some other characters for reference.

His new Hammer move... The light version gives him quite a bit of meter for hitting with it. Also, the heavy version doesn't do any more damage then the light one... Also, that animation would fit better for a 2 hit EX version, rather then the heavy version... But then again, the current one does have the OTG effect... So eh, I don't know.

Well, I'll keep testing him. Just to see if I can find more.
