So, as I was spriting zem's sprite request i decided to go to sleep and continue on it in the morning, but guess what? The next day my laptop starting making a weird clicking noise and wouldnt boot up right. And i knew from the instant it became like that that the hard drive pretty much died. Crap. First health issues, then i finally got rid of the virus on my laptop, now the hard drive just straight up dies. Ugh. Luckily i backed up my WIP sprites, but I need some other important data that was in that drive, can anyone reccommend a good way or guide to recovering data from dead hard drives?

Once you hook it up through, say, an external enclosure, use Recuva on the drive, definitely.

Just make sure the virus isn't one that can spread when hooked up, though.

I have to look into this as well. I want to get things off of my previous rosters on dead laptops...
