Hi guys, I'm a huge fan of capcom vs snk (from psx) then I just decided to try to bring this awesome game back to life in mugen, I've started this project two months ago, and I'm needing some help with bringing some chars into POTS Style, but with some modifications...
All chars will have
- Power charge
- Roll Foward/Back
- Parry System
- Zero Counter
- NO Max Mode (from Divinewolf Chars) or Custom Combo (From POTS Chars)
- That "cool" Special/Super Finish FX
- High Jump
- Fall Recovery
- No Envshake
- Skillpoints System (or something like SFV...) (Life, Strenght, Agility, Defence, Range, Energy)
- And some unique gameplay features...

The Screenpack is a heavy edited version of enlightedshadow's cvs3 (I've removed some things... and now it can run in a notebook With a I3 and a Intel HD 3000 spenging around 600-1000 of RAM!!! And changed drastically the design to look more like the game from psx, but it stills a WIP)

Some extra Info
- All chars will have new palletes
- About the "unique gameplay", it's something like: Jill wil have low damage on every physical move, and high damage on every gunfire move, athena will have low HP, but her power charge is the fastest of the game (due to her psychic powers...)
- despite the crappy quality of the videos, the game resolution will be in 1280 x 720

One more thing that I need Help with, the skill points. Here is a pre made list with some chars. All help/opinion is welcome, all chars from the psx game are balanced based on the original game's ratio system .

Rules to follow:

Life
1 - 900
2 - 1050
3 - 1200
4 - 1350
5 - 1500
Strenght/Defence
1 - 90
2 - 115
3 - 120
4 - 135
5 - 150

- Agility (will be based on chain combo, movement speed, wall-jump (chun-li/Mai), walk/Run Speed  etc...)
- Energy (How Mutch faster Power Bar will fill while power charging)
- Range (based on how mutch long is the distance that the projectiles/moves can reach

Man, that's a beautiful screenpack and a promisor project!! :D

The only thing I want to suggest [It's a visual thing, but ok] is to you use the actual mini television animations from the source game on the VS Screen background.

Also, the intro distortion before the Char select shows up from the same game.

Overall, keep it up man! :D

Oh thanks, and the vs screen is not ready yet, actually, neither the select screen is... but I will follow your advice (I was really lacking of ideas for the vs screen...)

I like the fact small portraits are compatible with regular size.

I have a little something for CVS1 inspired SP.
Will you release SP as a standalone aswell?

I would like Shermie and Angel to be in this game, particulary since they have CVS sprite set.

I also want to add Shermie, but I don't have enough knowledge in coding to start a char from the zero, and neither japanese knowledge to patch any existing shermie... thats why I started to ask for help...  And Yes, after completing the Project, I will release the SP and some chars separated

Gotta say this looks very fantastic! Will you use the latest add004 for this? I know for single characters there is a type of groove system based on palettes in there, 3 total: the 3-lvl bar groove (Standard with 3+ lvls. Lvl 2-3 attacks can be done normally), the Max bar Groove (One bar, lvl 1 attacks at max, parry system, and 25% health = Max turns SUPER, possible lvl1 infinites and LVL2+ attacks active), and the SVC CHAOS Groove (Works like a mix of SamSho+SVC. You get hit = more energy. Start off at 50% bar with lvl 1 attacks. has Just Defend system(which doubles the amount of energy you get than getting hit. When Bar is full, it goes MAXIMUM and slowly drains, but allows LVL2-lvl3 attacks)
If you can look inside the common01.cns on this, maybe there can be a way where you can use these bar systems to your advantage!
as far as characters go....I think Shinrei MIGHT help but atm I'm not sure where he's at atm. Probably on vacation of sorts since his CVSU Ikemen demo got released. His Demo has a decent set of POTS styled characters.

Well, I didn't know that, I was suposed to use only the guard break and stun system (not the tag). Actually, I was planning to pick the default add004 bars and transform into something more "looking like cvs".
And I have shinrei's Ikemen, there's some precious things there! Anyway thanks for the feedback!

Thanks! It will not be mixed, some chars will have Max Mode, some chars will have Custom combo, like the original releases.

As much i like P.O.T.S style than the other guy.I think you should have Custom Combo for Capcom side and Max Mode for SNK.I mean its Capcom vs SNK afterall....so why not :).
