Ok this is really old news, but I just read that in wiki articles and now am curious about seeing where that happened. Anyone have a link or something?

I look entire VH1 page and the only thing I found about is a review of Samurai Champloo (where the protagonist is called Mugen), apart of that nothing about an internet countdown. Also there's no result in VH1la.com (Latin Aamerican VH1 page)

Nah, I think there's only rumors...

Yeah, "VH1 countdown" sounds like a clever joke too, so it's possible someone made it up and it just spread to more articles without ever being checked.

I think the same thing. I deleted that stuff from Wikipedia to avoid more false rumors :)
