are you one day going to make a legit mokou? maybe someday 2years from now or tomorrow?

Reason I didn't use Minoo's sprites was because it was hard to work with.

You'd best give him a Banana Nanaya palette like in MBAC.

Bananaya? But I think that's only for Shiki, the legend himself. D:

How about a Cucumber Nanaya palette instead? *shot*

So what, does this nanaya have a pots gameplay of something?

Something along those lines.

Actually, he had a banana pal in MBAC, it was different from the legendary Banana Shiki, but it was a banana pal nonetheless.

But are there truly grown men in this world?!

what do you mean spriteswap? there are tons of fujiwara sprites lying around I had one too but it was deleted along with my custom flandre sprites.



Minoo's Mokou sprites are limited and hard to work with. This is from someone who actually used the sprites in question.

Hina was a similar situation, only in that case I got away with borrowing some of Alice's moves since Hina uses dolls as well.

I know it is quite a few but his tenshi is some sort repetitive too but it turned out okay.

The difference being that Tenshi still had usable frames to the point where I didn't have to recycle some for some of the basic attacks and whatnot.

Transparent blood is fine if you use multiple layers of sprites to make it look more solid

also that is arpa talking

Please please PLEASE don't make Nanaya's blood transparent. Blood is not actually transparent.

Nanaya doesn't use blood sparks/effects for any attack except for his Level 3. Even then the background itself is black during the attack so the blood effect will look solid regardless.

so what Super portrait are you planning on using for the Last Arc......
cause the one u used for the arc drive (Kyokushi no nanaya) was the one i was gonna suggest ironically lol

and will you incorporate all moves from all MBAA styles of nanaya or just a few here and there?
since your using pots style and all

Kyokushi Nanaya is his Last Arc lol. I just made it so that you can just do the attack without having the need to parry/shield.

Right now Nanaya's moveset is a mix of all 3 styles, though it's bit more towards Half Moon.

Like I mentioned earlier in this thread, I was going to implement a new system ability that would help give these chars a bit more variety and I came up with a thing I'd like to call an Overlimit mode.



The mode is inspired by both the Melty Blood styled MAX mode and MvC3's X-Factor having some features from both systems.

To activate Overlimit, all you have to do is press z+c at the same time as well as having 3000 power. I wanted to give a player a choice of whether using an offensive option such as the very damaging level 3 super, or a more defensive approach with Overlimit.

Right now Overlimit features the following perks:
- Activation of said mode can be used as a Roman Cancel for standing, crouching, and some special attacks. Good use for extending combos, or canceling mid-anim on an attack to prevent being punished for a blocked or whiffed move.
- Damage is increased by 25%.
- Slow life recovery throughout the duration of the mode. Though you won't gain any life if you're taking damage or blocking.
- Unlimited use of EX-Attacks and Guard Counters.

Overlimit cannot:
- Activate during a super.
- Use any supers.
- Gain power, thus power charge has been disabled.

Overall this mode only lasts for 10 seconds and I'm trying to see what other buffs I can add without making this cheap.

By Guard Counter do you mean something like Circuit Spark or Guard Cancels?
