where can i find the BEST ryu or sf 2 characters?

I have tried searching but all i find is 'holy ryu'

From the title, I'm assuming you mean either Ryu OR an SF2 character. As far as SF2 goes, Rin and Bat made a few, as well as Masadas (or MASA). I've also made four, and have several more in progress. Funny thing is, each of us has made an SF2 Ryu - Rin and Bat made a World Warrior/Champion Edition version, as did Masadas, and I made a Super Turbo Ryu.

Also, P.o.t.S made a pretty well rounded Ryu, you might want to check that out.

You DON'T want Holy Ryu OR Ken, however. Trust me, they suck.

the best ryu could be also the one by GM and or by umihei , both sf3 versions.

He said SF2. But I have GM's Ryu, and it's pretty damn solid.

The best SF2 Ryu for me was the one of Rin & Bat also like the one by Vegeta 20XX

I have tried searching..... but there is NO global database of every character

they is ALWAYS a better one  :'(

Of course there's no global database, silly billy. Most here, including myself, can tell you why that will never happen in a numbered list.

Also, of all the cheap characters, Holy Ken was the one I really liked for some reason. At the very least, as far as cheap guys go, you can do much worse than Holy Ken.

Not saying I'm recommending him, I'm just rambling.

I still have work to do on my Ryu (like super combo damage, hitspark placement, velocity adjusting, etc.), but I'll post it when I make another update.

It's up to personal taste.

Are you going for accuracy, or originality?  Flashiness, Effectiveness or a solid combination of both?
Do you want extra modes, bars, and grooves, or just plain?
What about sprites, you like SFII, SFA, SFIII, CVS, SVC.....?
Sometimes a character is great, with solid gameplay, awesome effects and filled with nice details, but there's ONE thing about it you don't like.  So I'll go and edit that one thing out, but now of course I don't have THAT Ryu, I've got one that I've made edits to.

That's why there is no general agreement as to what character is the BEST.  Some outclass others by a longshot so there's no arguing, but others, like in this case Ryu... there's just no way you can label ONE as the best.  YOU have to try them out and decide for yourself.

I personally like Ryu by POTS.  I use only Ryu though, and his other modes are disabled.

Yeah. I personally like Ryu DG and MKvsSF Ryu the most. But there really isn't a best. Favorites, yes, but no "best".

that's right everyone has her likes or her favorites things but each author put his effort in accuracy or creativity in each creations so there is not best btw I like Ryu by DG too  :sugoi:
