Not entirely new to Mugen but never was a committed player till recently.  I have Mugen Hi-Res and running it on Crossover on my iMac.  I'm having a problem with BGM's for stages, titles and etc.  I edit it in the stage's def yet the music never starts.  Increased the volume to 300 and still nothing.  Made sure there were no semi-colons and the such.  Still no.  Need a little assistance please.

Did you make sure you put "sound/" minus the quotations at the beginning and .mp3 or whatever the extension is at the end? This should be the only major problem, unless you don't have the required plugins.
i cant count the reasons i should stay

one by one they all just fade away...

Yeup.  For example sound/Commin' Home.mp3.  Nothing.  Even stages I've downloaded with their own BGM don't seem to work either.  I can play them in iTunes though.  What plugins would I be missing anyways?

Most likely "in_mp3.dll" or "in_mad.dll". These are the simplest and most elementary plugins for playing mp3s in mugen. Just google em, download em, and drop em into your plugins folder.

Ok update...  Downloaded a new in_mp3.dll and in_mad.dll, dropped it in the plugins folder.  I got sound to play on the stages but now its skipping.
