http://mugenguild.com/forumx/index.php?board=344.0YEAH SO MUCH FOR TRANSPARENCY, MORE LIKE 100% Opaque
never said 100% transperency, but until now nothing's in there. and there probably won't be much in there
not really. we just noticed that without any private place, we tend to unintentionally shift the internal stuff to chats and the likes, which is even worse. so to prevent that we decided to set up this place...I shall notify you in this thread whenever a new topic is made in it.
Archaic said, August 30, 2007, 07:43:24 pmStill, people will thing you guys are planing something, evil. That is the idea. Be afraid! Haha.Robert knows about it because I told everyone in the chat room. As we've by now told everybody else.Val,
Like so many other things in the Mugen world that already happened regardless of you liking them or not, so will it be for such places to continue existing - and for people to be pissed off when that's aknowledged... "the truth will set you free" or something?...
yeah, after all, everybody shares pr0n[size=2pt]if it's something evil please don't make it public, it won't hurt as much as if it was announced before the hit : O[/size]
Well, it would be nice to have some limits when it comes to topics and posts. It could possibly decrease some of the spam that's brought up by a single use. It would sure as hell be funny if someone asks for a request in this topic.
Valodim said, August 31, 2007, 01:29:46 am......what? limit posts and topics in the staff section? Dammit, kinda zoned out there. I kinda am skeptical about the whole transparancy staff talk deal; as in most cases, this is used as a false figurehead of security. Though I'm most likely wrong since, this apparently, is a forum... not some kind of confederation. Ugghhh, I need some time to rest
BreakerDS said, August 31, 2007, 01:40:34 amI kinda am skeptical about the whole transparancy staff talk deal; as in most cases, this is used as a false figurehead of security.right, it's just a front. we are not going to do any of the changes discussed there. ever
Yep, I knew it. You guys act like you have balls by having one section that's supposedly the staff section visible yet you're hiding others. That's just pathetic.
If you really want to know the truth ... I've been in there for years, and it's pretty boring stuff.Lately with the Report Mod system, the postcount there was cut down in half.
Jesuszilla said, August 31, 2007, 01:55:01 amYep, I knew it. You guys act like you have balls by having one section that's supposedly the staff section visible yet you're hiding others. That's just pathetic. The admin section wasn't posted in at all since I left the last time I was admin. This super secret section will be more of the same.
Hmmm super secret huh? Then why are you talking about this so-called section? Might be a joke, might not, though I don't care about secrets anymore. Meh, I've lost interest already. [/end]
CCI [Yuutsu] said, August 31, 2007, 03:56:27 amDon't make me continue to on with this thread because I have a lot more things to rant on. Yer George Bush smile intrigues me so I thing I'm gonna stay.FISSION MAILED
reading the staff section is like watching c-span. besides they could talk about banning some person for something and that person sees it and decides to go out with a real bang of goatsce pictures or some other horrible horrible thing. why should we have to be exposed to that? or other such nonsense.
CCI [Yuutsu] said, August 31, 2007, 05:14:28 ambecause it's fun... and Messatsu and Sepp running the forums Then what the hell do you do?
Messatsu said, August 31, 2007, 05:33:42 amYeah but the apocalyptic atmosphere only depends on your perspective.Perspective as in - it's not as bad as it seems, or perspective as in - promising for some hahahahahas
It's really bad for the working class leechers while it's awesome for all of the dirt poor leechers and rich leechers. Anyway, I'm planning on my own how to start a Creator Sweatshop to do a publicity stunt for the stressed out Warehouse Owners.

[/sarcasm] ...
Yeah, things have died down and have started to smoothen out since the forum rehaul... and the goatse epidemic
Like how, for instance... besides the average leechers, spammers, and trolls seen everyday on this board?
Messatsu said, August 31, 2007, 05:48:05 amThings aren't so apocalyptic now, are they? OMG, optimism... What's the next sympthom... Edited because the one below goes next
Blue Wolfmage XX said, August 31, 2007, 06:02:19 amMessatsu said, August 31, 2007, 05:48:05 amThings aren't so apocalyptic now, are they? OMG, negation... What's the next sympthom... The next stage should be denial, but I'm going by the standpoint of what an average day is here.
reading the staff section right now is like listening in to one side of a conference call. transparency is an absolute. however it cannot be maintained in either of it's extremes. if everything was open again you guys would just be PM'ing each other or having a private mod IRC chat or something to talk about what is going on now in the private staff talk.Whatever you guys talk about in there I hope another shake up is no where near. We are all still getting used to the new rules/regime and anything you do is under close scrutiny by the users. Hope you don't shoot yourselves in the foot anytime soon is all I'm saying.
DemonicDrPhil said, August 31, 2007, 08:15:21 amif everything was open again you guys would just be PM'ing each other or having a private mod IRC chat or somethingOne of the two topics there is about IRC events. The other is about... more IRC events. You win.And if public staff talk is too boring at the moment, here's an example of IRC events, this is one of the things said in public in #MUGEN, so it itself is no secret:<Kung_Fu_Man> What would you do, if Guild did get sued over copyrights infringed upon?<[Sepp]> Ash, didn't Reu write a positive resonance post?<[Sepp]> Have you brought him back on the True Way by now?<Kung_Fu_Man> Don't think so...last I checked with talking to him on MSN, he was quite...pissed.<Valodim_> last I talked to him here he seemed to not care at all *shrugs*<Kung_Fu_Man> And you can be pretty sure Eli didn't enjoy watching his mugen alter-ego passed around, let alone get assraped.<[Sepp]> He has seen the light.<Valodim_> but people always have different opinions when talking to you it seems<Kung_Fu_Man> And what happens if Rikard gets stepped on?<Kung_Fu_Man> Or Borghi?<Kung_Fu_Man> They are, of course, inevitable. And you can be fairly sure they're going to be a bit...pissed.<[Sepp]> We cannot do all that assraping on our own. We shall require assistance with this.<Valodim_> I'm numb already<[Sepp]> Damn.<Kung_Fu_Man> So what happens if you get slapped with a suit?<[Sepp]> We'll find you, and we'll kill you, and then we'll assrape you.And so on. This and more stuff like this was posted in the private section so we can prepare our counter-suits in secret in order to sue each other to death until there's no MUGEN page left.
Jesuszilla said, August 31, 2007, 05:59:41 amNo, they're gradually getting worse.god, all you do is moan. get over it already.* Valodim votes to ban JZ
Secret sections with actually useful Mugen information (code tips, feedback, etc...) bother me a lot more than secret staff sections - if RS's private section(s?) are anything like the previous Guild's, I know which of the two forums now bothers me the most on that regard due to witholding knowledge from the Mugen community...
1 more post there now discussing my gay affections I've secretly had for Sepp ,Messatsu, and Jared now
Quote<Kung_Fu_Man> What would you do, if Guild did get sued over copyrights infringed upon?Needs less FUD.
...wait...i don't understand......how would guild get sued for copyright infringement? Issue with that is between the creator *ex Borghi* and the person who used the sprites, no? cause guild allowed its post? ???
Think how there are now no US torrent places... at least not out in the open. Nearly nothing is copyrightable in Mugen, so it's again, nothing more than FUD.
