Well, excluding the sound folder (300 MB of music) it comes up to around 6.43 gigabytes.

Man, mine is somewhat close to that, and I have 50 stages, less than 70 characters, and, not including screenpack music, 60ish songs in total.

Granted, my Mugen has a lot of dead weight on it.

Currently, there are 15 females and 12 males with their appropriate stages and music files (27 total).

Looking to either complete it with 32 or cut it down to 20 on screen characters and 8 hidden characters.

Sounds like I gotta add more stuff. Just wish I could solve the DVD-ROM problem so I have more incentive to play. Fire Pro Returns finally arriving also caused me to take a MUGEN brake. :D

I've got four Mugen folders, each one is a different screenpack with the same stuff

Folder 1, Winmugen EVE Battle: 616 MB

Folder 2, Winmugen Fighting Jam: 620 MB

Folder 3, Winmugen All Characters Battle -Zero-: 605 MB

Folder 4, Winmugen Marvel Vs. Capcom: 614

I'm trying not to overflow my computer with Mugen stuff, since its purpose is to get me through college.

If the only difference are screenpacks, just put all the screenpacks in one folder, and have a seperate .cfg file for each (or, better yet, have them all in a folder and have all the paths in one .cfg folder, with all the ones you aren't using have a ; in front).

Doing that, you can free up a bunch of room doing that.

1.5 GB, with 400 MB of music. HR and LR Mugen are in the same folder, with 3 different screenpacks, 6 different lifebars and 4 different hitsparks sets.
Of course, the 140 chars are what take most space.

Mine is a lean mean 1.96 GB ;) But hell I only have 17.7 GB of space left on my PC...I'm probably gonna have to add another drive or buy a new computer soon :(

a few months back, I lost 3 computers (2 PCs & a laptop) but I've aquired hard drive extracting tools to recover nearly everything I've downloaded since February. Plus I have a bunch of sprites, so I guess its more like 50GB. Now comes time for sorting :/

3.16 GBs with 7 different screenpacks (some characters/folders are shared between them, of course). This also includes the music and I use mostly HQ soundtracks, so that's why it seems bigger than it really is.

I'd say less than 1.15 GB. Most of my music aren't in the sound folder, but elsewhere. Granted, I only have 42-ish stages, so the music shouldn't be too large of a chunk of my Mugen.

I don't know the exactly size, but I have 1438 chars (and counting). I will check later, cause Xbox doesn't gave me a short number size. (yeah, I play it on Xbox)  ;D my HD is about 80 gigas, and I just have 10 free now. (a 90% of my xbox HD is used on mugen)

  • I took the helmet test... and I passed with 100%!
My folder is about.... 3.37 gigs or so. Most of it is a collection of works from those who've allowed them to be open source, and a few aren't. I'm mainly looking at them to try and get a grasp on the concept of character creation. It's steadily moving along, but creating unique coding from scratch or even heavily editing it is going to take me some time.

If I end up making a simple edit as practice, I'll have all the names to give credits, and notes to. Some of the guy's are gonna be a pain in the ass to track down.

Mugen doesn't mean only the folder with the game for everyone.
For creators, it can also be a bunch of ripped sprites, uncompressed ripped sprites, many backups, etc.
