I have Kishio's Donald.  You know which one, before all the clones XD I swapped out his big port though with one I made (can't remember the artist's name of the original pic).

The original Ash Williams character (yes, that one that desperately needs a serious fine tuning) by TonyADV, The Pizzaman, Mr. Chainsaw and Vegetto.  Using the RMH edit though and editing that one to my liking.

Azumanga: Kagura by wickydoo, Nyamo by Zero-Sennin (though I'm sure this one isn't very rare),  Sakaki by wickydoo, Tomo Takino by Random Talking Bush and Yukari by wickydoo.  I still wanna get ahold of the ones I don't have.

Dancing Banana by Iron Commando.

Black Ranger by Ermac Won.

The Colonel by peg.

Sketch Turner by DCat.

The Joker by Larramones, Jeff and Magus (don't know about this one).

Popeye by DDR.

Freddy Krueger by Mr. Zero (the edit, not the original).  Still looking for a better one, though.

I might have more, but I'm not sure XD

I got the original in my PC I guess :P

Apart of all of the WIPs I didn't finish yet, I also got various of the betas made for the Mugen Hispania's CVS3 Project that wasn't released (except Parker's chars which I released as open source betas). I got some other things I've to check, but now I remember those ones

Is Lord Ravenous that rare though? I don't remember when I downloaded mine, but it wasn't hard to find.

Also I have a folder of I don't know what the fuck these are characters I downloaded from esnips(RIP) that I'm pretty sure are gone due to the site going down.

Even to this day, I still happen to possess ML_Dan by MDK & Listening. I posted a screenshot of him on the V2 Screenshots thread and I made an entry with that character for First Lt. Ding's combo compilation.

He's basically a KOF styled Dan edit with a Tengu mask, and surprisingly his moveset isn't over the top as all these other "rare" KOF edits.

I don't think much people know what a actual rare character is, the term is thrown out there so commonly used, most people just assume that if it has the "rare" it must be rare.

An actual rare character is most likely

  • A forgotten WIP that was only shared with friends or not
  • A character that was only available for a day
  • A privately distributed character or stage
  • A offline character (That can't be found on the internet archive)
  • A WIP that is currently being developed
  • Or A character built solely on the concept of a rare character (Most likely being barley edited)

Rare characters can't

  • Be found by Google searching them
  • Be found by asking the person who has it
  • Be found on another website other than MFG, and such forums
  • Be found on the internet archive
  • Have a online download whether being hard to find or not

Get these facts straight, I may have missed some but I do believe that the fact that I put here are the major ones.

the only rare char I have and I'm 100% certain is rare, is Rare Akuma :p
