I was checking it out on PlayAsia, which listed it for 1 player.

But now you made me question them, so I tried a search and ended up on an translated Famitsu article found on Reddit.
Not sure what it's saying, if it will have both online and offline co-op, or offline being replaced by online.
But everywhere else it's saying that couch co-op is confirmed, so I guess PlayAsia has false info?

A scenario that was cleared is available in free mode, and as massively requested, multi play is available online or offline with screen separation in coop play. For the Switch, multi play was considered in shared mode, but the number of buttons on the joy con is too low, so check the user guide.
(I'm assuming that means it's available with multiple controllers but not in shared mode, where each player picks one joy con)

It's stated that this version will contain the Japanese-exclusive stuff, including playable characters Patty and Flynn. It's due for the Switch on January 11th. Never played a Tales game before but I've heard of some of these characters when I played Project X Zone 2 and read their backstories. I'm looking to get this one when it's released since I'm getting a Switch soon.

Also... SOR4 looks fucking amazing! I gotta show my bro the trailer for the game. 24 years after SOR3, this game is finally making a return with a 4th installment.
