New Shape-shifting Fighter Project

Well, here it is: my first original project that is not an edit.

Ima Shape (name not final) is a shape-shifting character that changes into different characters to attack, similar to Uppercut by The_None and Double from Skullgirls. As such, the character will have sprites from multiple different sources, some of which have not been converted into a complete MUGEN character before.

This is a work in progress and will be for a very long time, but I will appreciate any suggestions and feedback when time comes. Actually, I am taking suggestions for possible supers and hypers (and maybe new normals to replace the ones I have.)

I have got an idea for an possible LVL3 Blockbuster (super/hyper move).
Ima Shape turns into a version of the Blitz Tank, but the original skull head is replaced with the head of Omega Tiger Woods, and then that OmegaTigerWoodsTank will just start to drive, turning every opponent, who is hit by the tank, into a pancaked opponent.

I feel like this would be a whole lot cooler if every sprite shared the same palette/colour scheme/whatever. At least a tint. Would make the character seem a lot more unified and give it some identity. As is, I think it's a little tacky.

The unified color scheme idea will be added in down the road, although I would need to figure out a way to unify the sprites whose palettes are all over the place.

Any ideas, or will I have to edit every single sprite to do so in paint?

nice idea. i did something similar with my ditto character. if u recolor all the sprites to match the base standing sprites, u'll be good to go. cant wait to see other attacks

Just a brief update:

The project is still going, but slowed due to me having to think of the special moves to give to the shapeshifter.

That, and trying to figure out how to make Fighters Factory stop making black as a transparency color.

Once more, another update:

I have figured out how to index the sprites, so Fighters Factory would now stop making black as a transparency color. This means that I would have less of a headache dealing with transparencies and the sort in finding and implementing sprites.

Also, here is a list of moves that are already implemented in the character in some shape and form:



I am also taking suggestions for any of these moves, since some of them would get replaced down the road.

All decent ideas that I will take into consideration at the moment.

Although the more complex moves would require me to either learn the coding or borrow some parts from some where...

The Blitz Tank is a character from Akatsuki Blitzkampf, which is a well known doujin fighter.

Well, almost all the Akatsuki Blitzkampf characters are already MUGENized, including BlitzTank, so I would just suggest you to take some sprites from the SFF and slap the head of Omega Tiger Woods on where the "head" of the BlitzTank should be...

A little update:

Two more specials are currently planned, one of them will be a Falcon Punch-like move.

The other one would be a custom move, more details on that once all of the sprites are gathered.

As for the hypers, I have decided to try my luck with the whole OTW tank suggestion.

Although getting the pancaking effect done right would be a challenge. The more probable effect would be to send the enemy straight up like the original Shrimp Bus move.

Also, I have a variety of projectile specials thought out, but that will come as soon as all of the melee specials are done...

Although getting the pancaking effect done right would be a challenge. The more probable effect would be to send the enemy straight up like the original Shrimp Bus move.
About the pancaking effect, I could send you that Clefable from Ryon's Project Catch'em All fullgame. This character has got exactly the effect I'm looking for.
