As far as I recall,it started over this, I used to give massages , a lot, whilst doing it people oftenly remarked my hands were strangely warm, almost extremely heated at times, as a joke some playfully called me Ice.Being a fan of comics and enjoying some ice based characters my first nick on several gaming networks was UltimateIce, with time my friends took it to them to call me Ice or Iced also due to my attitude towards most things, nowadays most of them know me by that name..

When I just stared I used to use cliente as a nickname and I use maximilianjenus very regularly outside mugen forums. maximilianjenus is easy as it is a secondary character from macross, while cliente is the name of all the "gang members" of the place I live in.

I use walt because my real name, Rodrigo is boring, although all my friends call me Pancho.
Walter Fast just looks cool, specially in all lower caps.

The first time I went into an IRC channel (about year 97) I decided to go by the name 'GaRgOyLe' because that's my favorite mythological creature and used it for almost a year. At this point, some idiot registered the nick 'gargoyle' and suddenly I had to go by another username. That's why I added the letter X in front of the name, resulting in the 'XGargoyle' everybody knows.

Having a first name that works well as a nick in the international scene that is the Internet must be nice, like you or Reu, I find this whole calling people by nicknames deal to turn silly with time, especially when in private conversations.

And it's Phantom of the Opera applied to the interweb, mimicking my first and last name's initials in the process.

The Lord of the Flies is another name for Beelzebub.

Beelzebub being one of the many names the Christian Satan has received by now (Belial, Lucifer, Mephisto, etc).

Also, it shares its name with a novel.

And IMO, it just sounds kewl.

Story tells I was named after my grandfather's best friend, a certain Walter Smithyhouse. My Granpa, Peter Fast, was a German pharmacist running from the war and ended up in Mexico, marrying the daughter of 2 Polish immigrants that changed their names.

I normally use Renzo because of that; people sometimes is so focused on being unique and original that a simple name like Renzo works fine.

Some people get their nicknames nicknamed. For eg, i'm Cy to a lot of people which sounds totally normal.

In M.U.G.E.N there is no magic button

They say a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, but it's not one half so bad as a lot of ignorance.
