April 1st
(Purchased on this date. Arrived on April 27th)

So begins the Shattered Grid for the sister series: Go Go Power Rangers volume 3. I'm excited to read this. Although the Shattered Grid miniseries started late last year for Go Go, this volume collects the beginning of it.

*paranoid worrying about the state of the SRW franchise*
Well, uh, I guess forget that completely! It turns out the various Asian releases of the most recent SRW game are outselling the Japanese version! So they're probably doing fine right now.

Also there's an English language demo out on the Asian PS4 store!

I never like super robot wars, and i live in south east asia and in the age bracket of their target market, since i am even a big fan of both turn base strategy and robot....  playing all front mission since snes multiple times, but srw especially their original design always look too fruity for me personally.
Even the more recent releases? As the series has gone on, the art style has shifted to be less and less SD. It was admittedly fairly small shifts up until SRW Z, which marked a shift to somewhat less SD proportions, and then when they transitioned into HD sprites they made a really huge break with the past, to the point where things are only slightly SD. For example:

Got this game for a stupidly low price, only $20. Bit of a sad reason why I got it, though. Our town has a single video rental shop with a pizza place attached to it (also damn good). But, at the end of this month, its closing up for good. Dollar General bought them out and are shutting them down. The same Dollar General that can't afford enployees bought out 80 rental shop locations and shut them down. The same Dollar General that let me go, but didn't remove me from their payroll. Fucking assholes >:(

I will miss you, Family Video.

April 1st
(Preordered on this date. Received on May 8th)

And the Shattered Grid truly begins! Collects issues 29-30 and Shattered Grid #1 (double sized issue, being 48 pages instead of 24). I'm pretty excited to see how the Rangers fix their deteriorating multiverse.

Can't wait for the "Beyond the Grid" and "Necessary Evil" storylines to come out later this year ^..^

Spoiler: My collection gets bigger! (click to see content)

(Purchased on this date. Received May 8th)

I pretty much got this for the promise of the other previously unreleased pilot, since both the Amazon MODs and Paramount official releases didn't include it. I remember vaguely seeing the original pilot, but barely.

(Yes, yes it does have the other pilot)

That reminds me, maybe they'll deliver my copy today.

I tried to get a regular edition on launch day and well
- No Gamestops closer than Allentown, PA (a 65 mile drive from work!) had it
- Amazon was sold out except for a few SEs, I got one at MSRP.
- Later checked ebay and like 2 $55-$60 regular editions and the rest were $70+.

June 4th

So, having enjoyed the new Voltron series and having gotten season 1&2 on DVD earlier this year, it was only a matter of time when the next DVD release was. Had to buy it on its release date: June 4th. Checked my Wal-Mart and found it after some searching.

(Purchased on this date. Received on June 7th)

Earlier this year the second volume of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers archival comic collection came out. I was more preoccupied with preordering the other Boom! Power Rangers comics at the time, but I finally sunk some cash into getting this archive volume 2.

Spoiler: My entire Power Rangers collection so far (click to see content)
