Disassembling MUGEN?

Yes, I know the source code for MUGEN is unavailable.  But why don't we try to get around that by disassembling it?

Are youre clear what it after all is? Even get it?  Are it vs at C laws?
(ALTHOUGH these files get edit so much times at ... well yours know... )

I can't speak for the 1.0 and 1.1 versions, but for the DOS mugen, it was packed with UPX and once unpacked, it was possible to access to some information on the engine.

This is how people was able to find out about undocumented sctrl such as Tag and also create the hacks for Hi-Res stages and other stuff.

Well, the thing with dissassembling mugen is that it's at least two orders of magnitude harder to work with a dissasembled mugen than it is to work with one of the incomplete, open source mugen clones, such as ikemen or mugen.net (?).
