No offense, but do you know Kanji or did you just google that?

Dont put Kanjis just to make the character look cool (when having no knowledge), it does the exact opposite.

Everyone that reads who are otakus, read mangas, watch anime, etc. THINK they know kanji.  Were you educated in Chinese characters, therefore you didn't need to google it?

What I am saying is, if you don't know how to use it and the actual meanings of them, don't use it.  It's something that people tend to overuse for the "cool factor", and it is really overdone.  Like how people get chinese character tattoos and think they know what they are writing because they read it online.

I am just stating the obvious.  And if you have any knowledge in Chinese writing system, your "Kanji" is not even used.  Sheng Long is chinese, hence you need to use "Hanzi".  Are you sure you know what you are talking about?  The big 3 NE Asian countries do not necessarily use the same characters for the same meaning.

Example (Chinese is in Traditional, I never studied simplified):
日本漢字  医(醫)者
中國漢字  醫生
韓國漢字  醫師

It's a promising WIP.

Intro would be better with more refined timings and a few extra frames (especially on the right hand as you're looking at the gif).

It would be cool if you had an intro where he killed Suave Dude.

Wouldn't make much since though since I don't think sheng long even know about Suave Dude, but thats a really good suggestion  :)
But I've been thinking of a special Intro against Akuma since in the SF3 Sheng Long Joke said that his hates is Akuma...



But I'm still thinking about  :-X

Having other character's moves sounds cool to me. Like he's
the grand master of all the fighting styles or something.
Besides, the original article DID say "we assume he has the moves of all the world warriors"
But I don't think that rapid kick was meant to be Chun Li's.

it needs more frames at least 1 or 2.. i can see you flipped the tatsumaki vertically the bent leg looks a little weird on that frame.

i think  its a good idea to recycle sprites to create newer moves, but sometimes it doesn't work as you know by that i mean look good enough to be believable as a move, sometimes that extra spriting is needed rather than copy pasting parts from other sprites. Is it meant to be like Guiles flash kick? if so did you check his sprites in the animation?

also im not sure that effect would work with the move looking at the position and movement of his legs in your attempt. i might be wrong.

how about adding Takuma Sakazaki's running knee attack..


maybe the CVS Running Animation maybe help to get the knees right.

if i were you i would stick to 4-5 specials, 3-4 supers. and try to keep the animation as fluid as possible

could you tell something about the gameplay? i hate seeing these "only sprite show off" threads

suggsestions.

-use Takuma for the base of multi air kick
-no one finger hadokens. sounds retarded
-No black screen ==> beatdown,  kind of moves. overused
-multi tackle is retarded considering that his a martial artist MASTER
