I've never had opportunity to play any Yakuza game myself, but I would be super interested in playing one starring the Ancient Aliens guy.
Never too late to start. 0 and Kiwami (remake of the first game) are both good starting off points.

Word of warning not to get too hyped, because Yakuza spinoffs have a history of not coming out in English-speaking countries. The recent upswing in interest for the franchise here will probably change that, but don't assume it's coming out in NA/EU for sure until we get an announcement confirming localization.
lol yeah, that's what I was thinking of when I remembered Kenzan and Ishin. But Hokuto no ken is way more popular and bankable than the samurai era and much more likely to spread out, so I still think it'll come out.

I ditched the series when FGO made Musashi a bubbly busty chick, but I was stunned by how amazing Proto Cu's costume looks in motion, so much that I'm still considering picking Extella on Switch. As long as Charlemagne isn't genderbent, I'll give this a chance, I guess.

In case anyone doesn't know (because I didn't know until I went to buy it) Yakuza Kiwami is only $30 USD. Not a sale, full retail price.

What the fuck, that was unexpected. Are they finally going to start reviving on smartphones franchises that actually worked ? It'd be about time they'd consider smartphones as the new version of arcade gaming, and there's so much they can do about that.

i'm wary of mobile games because a lot of the time they control like shit, hopefully this one works out

the 3d models try to keep the style of the original sprites and it has varying results. morrigan and chunli don't look very good
