Hopefully there aren't too many oversights, but I bet there are some things we didn't notice. I would have waited a few more hours to go error hunting but nooooo, everybody else says we should go public right now

If you notice strange things that you think might be bugs resulting from all the changes that have been done with the sort-of forum reset, please tell us about them here.

I expect trouble with some of the permissions, and I've already seen some members who were without a primary membergroup even though they had secondary groups assigned.

Interesting turn of events indeed, but I'm now left with a question - what happened to all of the old threads?

The main forum pages mentions a disturbingly low number of topics per section, and there was lots of interesting info spread around in places like WIP topics, for exemple.

I wouldn't be surprised if some of that was done to keep the kind of ranting that caused these changes in the first place to be out of sight so old habits wouldn't be aknowledged and imitated, but it not like they couldn't be locked to prevent them from being revived, yet keeping them accessible when using the search engine, for example.

see that little "archive" button top left? the forums are merely hidden, you can even move them back.

if true, how to do so? i miss Mugen ScreenShots, but too lazy to click archive, post, reclick archive, etc etc on and on

Many topics will be moved from the archive by the staff to here anyway. That thread will probably be one of them.

I am not sure if members can move their own topics from the archive to here. We discussed it but I don't know if it was accepted.

If not perhaps a sticky can be set up for people to request certain threads be moved from the archive. Of course this sticky would need to be made a few weeks down the road after the staff has had tome to move topics it feels are relevant.

EDIT: val beat me so I guess not on moving that one =P

You cannot post in the archive. Go to the regular forum instead.

I miss one thing: Back in the older days where everything was joy and love, when someone like Val decided to change his nickname I was able to identify him by just moving the mouse over his name and the real user name was displayed on the status bar as a part of the link to his profile.

Now it only display numbahs.

I want my little screen under the avatar which tells if the member is online or not.

And concerning the images beside the sections, which become clear or dark whether there are new posts or not : they don't seem to be updated as well as they did before. Sometimes I reply to a topic, and when I look at the section's image, it's still dark as if I didn't look at it.
