Diepod said, September 19, 2016, 08:47:14 pmWho is that guy? Is he a character of your own, or from some existing media?I like the design tho.
He's actually one of the first characters I came up with along the same time as Bluestreak and Napalm
Back to basics here. I'm working on Bluestreak's new moves as well as trying to convert his system over from CvS.
This one will replace Geno's HCF+P attack (Grendel) Knocks down and Geno hops back during recovery so its annoying.I think annoying zoner is her playstyle
Hatter said, October 06, 2016, 05:52:22 pmI love that palette Genocyde is sporting. So what system do you have in mind for "White Eyes"?still working that out.
First pass at Mirage's smk. I suppose I'm playing around with the idea that her pants are too tight so her kicks look stiff. I may ignore that concept in the future.
I was about to say the exact same thing. I know that you can break the body a bit in animation, but god damn that looks like it hurts.I love the fold animations on her jacket though.
Ok,, I don't quite see the leg breaking you guys are talking about, but its probably worth reworking. I guess I'll just match Sagat's heavy kick then.
Re-enact the pose from frame 4. If you can achieve it, sign on to some gymnastics team I think while all of individual parts of that frame seem possible (the upper body inwards twist, the leg movement, the grounded leg) , the combination of them all makes it look very uncomfortable/ "impossible". Add to that the tight leather pants that should limit the movement furthermore.Anyways it's great to see some more progress on here too! Don't get chased away!
My thought process is muay thai kicks always look silly, shrug. Like I said its the first pass at this move, I'm gonna look at how King's high kicks were handled. Tight pants or no, shes gotta be able to move to balance out how stiff her stance is. Chased away by what?
look up muay kicks on youtube. reference them. for the leg breaking, I dont see any. maybe cuz like you said the leg is stiff
Pitching in that I didn't see any leg breaking either, it's just the perspective/angle of how you see the leg. It's perfectly natural, maybe just more realistic (rather then cartoony or '2D') then people are used to. It looks pretty dope imo!
Chased away by our critic Ronnie, not trying to start a discussion here about it being natural, but pls. try making that kick from frame4, with a straight leg, the heel pointing upward-ish, while also doing that upper body movement inwards and with strength behind the kick - (I guess one would break his back doing so - so watch out)
It wouldnt be realistic with that angle, the apex of the move curve is not in the right position so the leg goes vertically. It would be natural if it was an arc from the back or if it was a stepin followed by lifting a reared back leg and striking out. As it is, its a sidekick that goes up, then goes up a little bit more twisting the leg while stationary.Got to agree with HQ here.Imo, tight pants or realistic goes a bit out of the window with rule of cool, no one expects someone in high heels to be doing intricate footsies but everyone can understand if it looks cool.
I think is the twisting of the foot that might be making it look weird, maybe make the foot like sagats kick. the rest is on point.
